Audio Nav should read email & text from your iPhone

We need some serious software hackers to go to work on our Audio / Nav system smart phones communication capability; the iPhone in particular. Don't get me wrong I dig all the things the audio system does with the iPhone now; I have had no problems with Bluetooth audio or the auxiliary input functions or phone calls. I don't want to be greedy but I want more! The software reads text pretty well already so why not have it read our email and text messages? Anybody talking about this, someone doing it, working on it?

No software geeks out there interested?

Check out this old thread where an Acurazine member created software that allowed you to change the Nag screen on the Nav system. You could replace the picture with anything you wanted and some guys even removed the Nag screen all together. I did this on my 05 Honda but have not tried it on my TSX. https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-tsx-2004-2008-124/modify-your-navigation-system-657154/
specific instructions on how to do here:

Found software iPhone app that will read your email!

Ok there is a company and iPhone application that will enable the car audio system to read your email and text messages to you! I'll report back after giving it a try.

"Voice on the G0", Check it out:

I got "voice on the go" setup and working yesterday. As the article in the previous post stated you can get a 60 day free trial. Their website was gliching when I was doing the setup and I had to call their customer service, they answered quickly and sent me an email link that got me started right away. They also increased my free trial period to 90 days. First readings worked well and I sent my self a test email and the text matched perfectly with what I had said to the system while driving... very cool.

Here is a link for a 30 day free trial but if you really think this is something you'll use for a long time, then go with the normal iPhone App setup to get the 60 day offer.
