Apple Lossless Format?

Does anybody know if the 09 TSX with navigation can handle apple lossless format (.m4a) on USB drive or if it will play if connected via IPod? I do not see anywhere in the manual regarding this format in the IPod or USB section. I figure it can play anything that an Ipod can play if connected via the ipod. But it might have trouble via USB. Has anybody tried playing apple lossless via ipod or usb in their TSX with navigation?

It works on mine. I just ripped about 30 more CD's to my iPod classic and I inadvertently used the lossless formatting.

However, at least in my case, it uses a *ginormous* amount of memory doing so.

OP: if i'm not mistaken, apple lossless can only be played in ipods and thus can be played in the TSX.

as HD said though, lossless uses alot more space on your ipod. I personally use only this when ripping my old CD's.

I had a question regarding WMA and WMA Lossless. It says in he TSX manual that USB connection supports WMA but what about WMA lossless? Are these the same thing?

I have a 2009 Accord (same as the TSX) with navigation and that only plays MP3 or AAC files via the iPod and the USB.

I generally use only WAV files on my iPod but these generate an 'UNPLAYABLE FILE' error on the screen when connected either by iPod or USB.

The only way I can play WAV files is by connecting the headphone socket on the iPod to the 3.5mm jack in the armrest. This works because it uses the internals of the iPod to decode the signal, rather than relying on the car stereo. It sounds a lot better but it doesn't show the iPod menu on the nav screen
