2011 TSX Firmware Question
So, I have a couple questions about updating the '11 TSX Firmware. Do the firmware updates (if any) come with the navigation update CD's or a separate place?
If they do come w/ the Navi update CDs, has anyone purchased the updated green Navi disk and noticed any firmware updates with how HFL or any of the controls work?
My friend and I both have identical 2011 TSX's and have been back and forth with the higher-ups at Acura complaining about an issue with transferring phone calls on the iphone to HFL when the call was manually dialed and initiated on the phone itself (and not through the Acura system). Ive posted a couple threads in the past about this problem and it seems like several people have the same issue.
My former 2010 RDX had no problems with calls manually initiated on the iPhone as it would automatically switch to HFL after the user pressed "send" to initiate the call. This is not the case on vehicles 2011 and up.
While I know that this issue may take a long time to be corrected (or never at all), it would be nice to know if Acura does indeed update their firmware/software that runs the navi and other controls. As well all know, the newer cars are one giant computer.
Thanks in advance for any insight you could pass along...

No one has any firmware update info at all? Not map updates but updates to the actual firmware to address Bluetooth and other tech issues...

Nav updates are nav updates - nothing else

I guess i am kind of dumbfounded that we're all driving around in what amounts to multiple computers on wheels, yet Acura doesn't offer updates to the software/firmware that is installed in these computers. Updating maps is great and all, but what about the software that runs the bluetooth (which is particularly buggy as hell from 2011 on up)? The stereo and controls? etc?
Talking with Acura specifically is equally frustrating with their canned replies and dancing around the issues.
It's too bad.
