2009 TSX - NavTraffic No Longer Working
Greetings!
I have a 2009 Acura TSX with the Technology Package.
For several weeks (months?) the XM NavTraffic feature hasn't worked. I can't seem to get any traffic data.
Yes, yes, yes - I'm paying for a subscription. I paid for a one year subscription on February 15th, 2011. And it worked for a least a little while after that (I don't remember when it stopped). Here's a copy-and-paste from my Billing History on siriusxm.com:

XM Select with XM NavTraffic (R) 1 Year
I've discussed this with XM at least three times. They have sent at least a dozen activation signals. And I've sent several of my own using the website. No change. During my last 30+ minute marathon a guy in India, he finally said that: 1) he *is* from the tech support department (there was nobody else to help), and 2) I need to take it to the dealer.
Acura Client Services couldn't offer any help.
The XM music has worked the whole time, and I've never paid for the weather feature (why pay for a wrong weather forecast!?!).
Before I drop it off at the dealer for hours / days - can anyone here help? Is there a trick? Is there something specific the dealer should do?
Thanks!!

Hey Nallex,
NavTraffic died on my 09 TSX last summer. Ended up being a faulty XM control unit which needed to be replaced by the dealer. XM radio worked just fine, just not the traffic.
If you get yours replaced, your XM radio ID will change. In my experience, the dealer worked with XM to make sure the new radio ID was linked to my XM account with the same service. That said, I had assumed that the old radio ID was removed from my account - WRONG. I had to call XM to get the old radio removed and my account adjusted to remove the double-billing.

It's TSB 08-058. I just had it taken care of yesterday on my '09 TSX Tech. My XM note function wouldn't work either... it all works fine now.
This TSB runs through a test procedure that you do yourself also... They were a little elusive about it at my dealer (it's a $2400 part), so it helps if you know what you're asking for.

Did your TSX fail the diagnosis in the TSB? Mine appears to pass the diagnosis (all of the blocks are green).
I have an appointment next week, but additional help is always welcome. I'm worried they're going to say "call XM!" I've already lost hours to that activity...

I just noticed the same problem. I did the diagnostic test per TSB instructions and all blocks came back green. I noticed this happened before (XM Traffic down) but it eventually came back up so I assumed it was something to do with XM's side and not Acura.
Did you get it checked with the dealer (even though all blocks came back green)?

UPDATE to my earlier post
After the diagnostic test passed (did it myself per the TSB bulletin with greens on all block), I called XM again and although the customer service says my XM NavTraffic subscription is current, I was told otherwise when my call was routed to Technical Support! So long story short, there is a glitch in their system where when you renew and combine XM radio and navtraffic, the computer will kick out the latter.
They told me it was fixed and it works now! Make sure you wait at least 5 minutes in an open area with your radio on.
My advice if your NavTraffic is not working and you got all green on the diagnostic: Call XM radio and ask them to speak to the Technical Support.
