Honestly most intakes don't even need a bracket to hold them in. Mine sits completely fine no bracket.

Every part is out but the DP. The DP will soon start R&D now that Josh has a part donor.

My rough estimate it a total of 18-20hp with these 3 pieces at least. The DP will also help cat back exhaust gain more power.

Having these parts will make you forget you're driving an auto. It's not always convenient for most to have a manual but it doesn't mean that guys with auto's don't like to have fun driving.

Josh is a great guy. I speak to him daily via AIM and he always replies back. This kind of niceness is the reason why I'm buying his products for my TL. He'll answer every question and even helped me part the best mods for the powerband i wanted.

now that i have a CAI ill definitely be completing the set with this

CAI, ported runners, intake manifold, and downpipe will be perfect. Should bring the TSX to around ~220 HP atleast which is exactly where it should be

haha i dont think it'd go 220..would it? i mean..our cars have "201" hp, but with the slug box, we pretty much only have like...150?160? with intake, ported runner, intake manifold, and downpipe, it'd probably be 180 max?

i'd stll do it tho. hahaha

i guess i meant 220 engine hp ... bhp?

the whp (i hope i have my terms correct here) would be much lower like you said cause of torque converter/drivetrain loss

i think wed still see a +20 hp gain in either situation though : )

protip: air condition saps like 3-5% hp according to an old car mag article i read. turning it off = TURBO MODE

I think the stock 2010 TSX was dynoed at 180whp/160ft-lbs ish. So with the above upgrades we could hit 200?

BTW whats a slug box?

I am interested in this piece also, I am hoping for a high flow cat, not a test pipe, so that I can roll around with the unit on all the time, and my car not smell like rotten eggs.

Update on R&D...

The guy that was going to donate his Accord for the downpipe has pulled out. Is there anyone near Pheonix, AZ that can help XLR8 do R&D for the downpipe? I'm sure you'll be offered a great deal for your time.

This is larger diameter piping with hi-flow cats so that you stay in compliance with inspection. Any other questions let me or Josh at XLR8 know.

Again for emphasis, we will not be deleting the primary catalytic converter. This will delete the secondary cat and the pipe between the two cats. Whoever cannot donate their car in the Phoenix, AZ for 2 days will get a free pipe, free installation, and a free before and after dyno.

Nothing done to sound from this. It will gain you 6-10hp whether you have a after-market exhaust or stay stock. This will also allow you to see more hp gain IF you decide to do an after-market exhaust. This freeing up of exhaust gas should yield you not only more power but on normal driving more mpg.

If ANYONE is in the area or states adjacent to AZ, I'm sure Josh may tell you where the cheaper hotels are in the area near XLR8's R&D shop. If you haven't voted please do. The more interest the better. If anyone knows someone near PHX that can find a 2nd Gen TSX/8th Gen Accord 4cyl that would like a free part, please do that. I have gotten too much interest at and here to let this just become a fiasco. Maybe a good weekend getaway for someone in SoCal or other states near to receive a quality free part that will make much needed hp and lets not forget the much more needed low-end torque. Let's also give a big thanks to Josh at XLR8 for taking on this project after I asked him. He help so much in my 3rd Gen J-pipe thread that I just asked. If I got the people, he'd be down to making the best product for the K24. Now I have the people... Someone must have the time to donate their car for free added 6-10hp. Let's get moving... .

I wish I was a little closer, but STL is 1200 miles away. If you were closer I would definitely just hang out at the shop the whole time the part was being fabbed up.
