Worldly Features..........
the spirior is NOT a honda in any pure sense.
it is made in a chinese factory with chinese parts and chinese design.
there are flights to beijing every day/
last point from me: YOU bought the tsx whether full of tech or not. no one forced you. you made a choice. LIVE WITH IT or make another choice; blaming honda for your choices. all of those options are available on other cars. perhaps something different would have hit the mark for you.

I don't need YOU to tell me how to reach my ancestral roots.

You need to drop the attitude! I don't need you to tell me what I bought. I bought an Acura TSX V6, for the V6 & primarily for the V6. Just incase you missed it. The topic of the thread is "Worldly Features". It did not say "EVO9 gripe over what we don't get"!
And another point incase you missed it. The Acura label is a premium line form HMC. Hope you figure what I mean by that.

When I bought my Sportwagon in 2014 I knew the TSX was already behind the times, even in Honda time. As an old guy that is fine by me as I'm not really sold on all these modern gadgets. Besides if you really want some silly little gadget, order it and put it in your self. In the meantime "get off my lawn!"

So interestingly, initial quality on all cars (especially Japanese) is falling because of the newfangled infotainment and other electronics in the cars.
The TSX (tech)has one of the best OE sound systems, one of the best headlighting units and some of the best reliability.
It might not have the latest tech, but the tech it has is rock solid.

You two need to get some of this! Assuming you both know what to do with it....................

Sad but true........ I shock my head when I red that the other day
Spot on except for the audio system. It is ok, but I have heard much better OEM system from other brands.
Somewhat true! Mine hangs up at times when using iPod.
Whenever there is a discussion of the top ten OE systems, ELS comes up. It is virtually unbeatable in OE at that price point.
Just one of the many discussions
It may not be Audi's B&O but show me one system in a $30k car that is better. It all depends on the source - garbage in = garbage out.

Very true. Source is important, same with EQ (keep it flat!). The DVD-A is what really makes our system shine. It seems like sources other than CD and DVD-A have so much signal processing and electrical noise. I'm not aware of any other cars that can play 5 channel audio at 24 bit depth and 48KHz sampling rate.
Even though DVD-A is a dead format, it more than makes up for some of the other missing tech in the TSX. There's actually a good amount of music on DVD-A, and it's even better when you have software that can burn DVD-A's. Then you can hold 50-100 flac files on one disc.
But yeah, keyless entry/push-to-start would be nice...

Keyless entry is probably the biggest feature missing from the TSX, tech or not. Is what's pictured above an OEM part? Would be interesting to see if this could be easily retrofitted into our Acuras. I hate carrying items such as grocery, baggage, with both hands full and have to drop some things, search for my keys to unlock the doors/trunk, then proceed. Even my dad's retired 2006 Maxima had this feature (yeah I know, he owned one).
But with that being said, the lack of said feature is not a deal breaker for me by any means. Sure it bothers me from time to time, but in the end I enjoy driving my CU2.
On a side note. It would've been nice to have the handles match the paint, or at least have that black/plastic keyless entry portion be chrome as well. I find the mismatch in colour odd and unattractive.

My problem with keyless entry is the fob is large and uncomfortable leaving it in my pocket, so I take it out anyway. Also the act of actually opening the door with a load is difficult enough that I often put stuff down anyway. Maybe if I had it for any length of time I'd appreciate it more, but until then I can live without it.
I went from an '11 TSX wagon to a '13 Accord. The two big things the Accord has: Keyless ignition and the Lanewatch camera. That camera is far superior to any other blindspot system.
Sad part about that is, the CU2 platform had that and them some over in Europe!
1) Larger brakes
2) Advanced Active Cornering Lights (ACL)*.
3) Advance Drivers Assist system (ADAS)
4) Lane keeping assists system(LKAS)
5) Adaptive cruise control system (ACC)
6) Collision mitigation braking system (CMBS)

This is not a slam against the fairer sex, but it was the main decision point at MB when they decided to implement this.
When I bought my XJ at one of the larger Jag dealerships in Hockenheim in 1986, I was the first private party to have ever bought a Jaguar there - all of the cars went to companies.
The Accord is a (albeit small) player and therefore must be loaded with more toys than the BMWs and MBs at the same price point to stay competitive.
