Will it rub?

I'm looking to get wheels that are 18x8 +40 offset wrapped in 235/40 tires....my question is will these fit without rubbing and will these be flush or poke out past the fender? The car will b lower no more than 2 inches.

Does it matter? Cause if it does rub you'll probably end up rolling the fenders anyways. If you do some research there's a trend with a whole bunch of calculators so you can get a good idea how your new wheels will look compared to stock or whatever you have ATM.

I have 18x8+40 wheels atm but with 225/45 and they are not flush or rub at all with a 2inchish drop. With my 2in drop and 25mm spacer in the rear I had a rub and had to roll but they are still not flush. Find my trend and you'll see pics of how it looks like. (I didn't post the pic cause I want you to use the search function :P)

for that size and offset, you will not be flush, and you should not rub. Depending how low you go you may want to roll the rears just incase.

You wont be flush so no rub your good to go, by the way our stock wheels are 17x7.5 your only adding half an inch so you got to figure out a certain look you want and do some more research and go outside with a tape measure and have fun.

No rubbing with that combo.

Ony thing I would suggest is going with either 245 40 18 or 225 45 18 tires. Those are the closest to the stock 225 17 50.

No need to jump the gun and calling people names. I tried creating mental images for you so you can imagine how your wheels would look compared to mine since you didn't search for the calculators. there are calculators on the wheels sub section (I think it might be stickied).

Have a great day scumbag

I agree with one thing in this post, and that is that the search function is dismal. The rest? Well, perhaps I'll leave you with a take on an old cliché: It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool (or a dipsh*t), than it is to write stuff like this and remove all doubt.
