Will i need a camber kit

So I have a 2012 SE tsx on 18x7.5 xxr 530 wheels tires-225/40 I'm looking to drop my car with the tein s.tech springs which will only drop my car 1.5 inches in the front and back I don't want to have to deal to with uneven tire wear will my car require a camber kit with such a small drop?

Sorry, can't contribute to your question, but could you upload a photo of your car with these rims?

A 3 piece camber kit is always the smart idea when thinking long term.

A 1.5" drop is agressive on any car I can think of.

You will end up with about -2.8deg in the rear and like -0.8deg up front.

Your best bet is to buy rear camber arms.

Yea, pretty much any honda/Acura you drop over inch will require camber kit if you want correct tire wear. I don't think tire wear will be as bad as u think at 1.5" but you will have inner tire wear, especially in rear. So you can rotate tires often and save alil money or just get the kit and not worry about it. A lot of ppl lower without kit and deal with tire wear in return for better handling characteristics around turns, but I personally recommend the kit tho. I have adjustable suspension, camber kit, and rear sway bar... It handles just fine and I get even tire wear.

What I don't understand is why don't people install camber kits after when lowering their cars and doing alignment twice.

Fun fact, I never got an alignment after installing coilovers. Rode around maxed out on Tein Basics for about a year, no major uneven tire wear. Now i have it raised back up a bit on potenza RE760s and still no alignment and they're still wearing pretty evenly lol

#mindblown. After bagging my car and bringing it home it was fishy driving it home and the following day took it in for an alignment.

Meh. Depends on the car. The 2G seems to gain rear camber like crazy. The 1G seems to gain a touch less, for a few reasons.

My 1G is lowered like 1.5" or so and it doesn't have any major issues. I do get a small amount of irregular rear tyre wear...but that's because the toe curve is also agressive on TSX/Accord/TL chassis'. I also use MPSS...which resist uneven wear.

Our 2G badly cupped its Continental DW's in like 5K-10K miles. It also *slightly* cupped its new MPSS in about 10K miles. So...yeah, it probably needs something to correct the toe curve by fixing the camber position...and likely the toe arm position.

The issue with camber arms is their shitty bushings. They all seem to be total garbage. Though...I think SPC's new design uses booted bearings on one end, or something?

I would just buy SPC upper camber ball joints....but with my wheels/tyres, I don't have room to move the top of the tyre out further towards the fender....unless I roll the fenders. I'm not keen on rolling the fenders because this car is driven in the midwest year round.

I may roll the dice on some camber arms in the spring. I am fully aware that I am taking a chance and will likely need to make my own bushings/bearings. I may not take any chances on aftermarket bushings and just make my own arms. We'll see.

I got roughly 14,000 miles out of my last 3 sets of 245 40 18 tires on S techs. Fronts wear evenly at -.7 & -.8 camber and the rears always wear out the inside edge of the tire first. Camber there is -2.9 and -2.8 with .06-.08 toe.
This is all on stock suspension pieces other than the s techs.
