Hey guys I have a 2010 tsx 4 cyc engine tech package with 57k....it started to make this whining noise sound like a power steering noise on old ford.. Has anyone ever experience this before

If it's a Whining that increases with acceleration it could be the alternator. This happened to my car and eventually the check charging system light came on and the car eventually stalled out.

The 4 cyl has a timing chain so that makes me think alternator possibly.

 

About 3 weeks ago I had to get a boost I left my switch open for about 5 mins and mi battery was dead could that be sign of a alternator going out
