Where to Order

Does anyone know where I can order the Euro Accord MT shift knob and how much it is? Here is a link with a picture. Thanks.

I have that in my car and I have to say it's not very comfortable. The diameter at the top is gretaer than the bottom and, combined with the squared off shoulders at the top, it doesn't fit well in the palm of my hand.

Far more comfortable, in my opinion, is the metal version fitted to the Accord Euro Type S. This is available from UK dealers at a cost of around £85 (GBP).

Thanks for the info - it looks a lot like the MT shift knob on the new TL. The second picture is the same shifter in the TSX. I'll see if I can check out a TL beforehand to make sure I like the way the shifter feels.

I didn't like the stock shift knob (same as UK Type S and our Civic Si/ S2000). The ergonomic one (see avatar) cost £65 (GBP) plus shipping from Lings.

I saw your avatar but didn't really connect that your car is MT - it looks a bit like an auto shifter. I haven't seen one of these in the flesh as UK dealers are loathe to dress up showroom cars or keep accessories on the shelf.

Admittedly, the Type S knob does feel quite small so may not suit everyone.

I had an aftermarket shift knob in my previous car, it's shaped quite similar to the one I am using now. The stock one is actually pretty good but I like the ergonomic one from Honda almost the moment I saw it on the accessories brochure.

I'm still liking the stock UK one even though it is a bit larger. Does Lings sell that or just the Honda dealers over there?

Lings is a Honda dealer in UK, they ship worldwide. Most of my mods came from them. You can order online from them as long as you know the part number.

Go to your local Acura dealer and have a look at the TL SHAWD 6MT knob and see if they are the same. Save you the hassle on ordering overseas.

Here's another photo of the ergonomic knob in woodgrain.
