Well, you can think about these things while you try to decide - mpg, interior space, cargo space, everyday commute, comfort in the driver's seat, maintenance (long term or short term).

we did not have good luck with the nissans we owned. Thankfully the numerous problems were covered by the warranty or recalls. Love our tsx. recommend it

You came to the Acura forum asking this, of course the answer is Acura. I'm sure you asked on the Nissan forums, and they all said Nissan. People here are listing the reasons they got the Acura, and reasons why they wouldn't go Nissan. I personally had a choice between the two, and went Acura because overall it just felt better. Plus I love the way it looks vs. the Nissan. And also, drive down the street one day and do a Nissan Maxima to Acura TSX ratio. That should be enough said right there.

I would go for the Maxi..the TSX is great but if you have the choice between that and a 40k sports sedan , I wouldn't think twice about going with the Maxima.

I think a fairer comparison is TL - Sh-awd vs 3.5 S/tech me thinks lol

But the maxima is a beaaaaauty of a car, interior is kinda meh, but that engine goes when it wants to

^ Yeah, they really are two different class of cars. I think the new Max is very well designed visually from any angle. However since ther Renault takeover in the late 90's, many of their models just don't have the same...soul.

i was looking at the same maxima choice and the tsx. i had a TL before. and choose to stick with acura. i think the nissan was over priced for the options. i mean 40k and didnt have xm radio? the nissan was fun to drive, but i like my acura way better!!!! bestfriends mom has a loaded out maxima with pano roof. roof gives probelms. her lease is almost up and she is going to a new TL.

If you're going to go Nissan, why not go Infiniti then? Dunno how much that Maxima package costs but I'm guessing you could probably get a well equipped G for that.

Plus the Max doesn't have 60/40 seats right? That is a requirement for me.

Thanks guys! I think the tsx is the way im going to go. I really done want to spend more than low 30's. And right now the best deal I have found is $31,000 plus TT&L. Think thats a pretty fair/great deal for todays market for a 11 tsx 4cyl auto tech pack?

What's invoice price of a 4cyl with tech? 31 sounds about avg pricing and since '12s are going to be released soon, if you wait, you MIGHT get a better deal? Is there anything they're including? Wheel locks? Tints? Spoiler? Splash guards?

I looked pretty seriously at the Maxima. What brought me to the TSX was price, handling, fuel economy, maintenance costs, and predicted reliability. It's just really easy to own, and I love the styling.

Acura, based on projected value and reliability from years past.
