What Should I pay for a 2010 TSX V6 Tech?
I currently own a 2009 TSX Tech and want to trade it in for a 2010 TSX V6 Tech.
What Should I pay for a 2010 TSX V6 Tech?
I saw on this forum someone paid $33,500.
Is that the best deal out there?

i paid $26,500 for a CPO 2006 RL with only 26k miles. I test drove the TSX, it's nice, but no way in hell I'd pay 30k+ for a TSX... not when you can get a new TL for similar money. yean, the TSX looks nice, but it's FAR less car than the new TL...and compared to a CPO RL.....i'ts light years LESS car....
buying a new car, you will always pay up the A$$.. buying a 2-3 year old car is always a better deal. someone else ate the mega depreciation. it's more work, because you have to look and look to find a really clean one,a nd you may not get first choice of colors, options, etc...but if you are patient - you will get so much more car for the money.
$34-35k is getting AWFULLY close to $40k. and if you are going to spend $40k...$hit..you are almost at the point that you could pickup a smokin bad a$$ used CPO 335i, or an S4, or even an RS4....
granted I haven't driven the V6 variant of the TSX, but i've driven NUMEROUS TL's, TL Type S.... and the 4 banger TSX....
i think the TSX appeals to the younger crowd...the crowd that doesn't know what's good yet...

basically, honda reliability + entry level luxury + peace of mind of a brand new car won vs. buying a 2-3 year old 3-series. also, i seem to place a higher priority on having a honda clutch and gearbox vs. the 3 series or G37.
the TL is ugly as hell. regardless of being able to get a tech for $34k + TTL, i think it looks absolutely horrendous. you got a good deal on that RL, because no one is buying them anymore. that's a great deal, but the RL isn't really me, regardless of used deals out there.

A 4 cylinder Tech is going for about $31 to $32k. So I seriously doubt you will get a V6 Tech for $33.5k. You might get that price, but they will just lowball you on your trade-in. A more reasonable price is about $35k.

I paid $30,900 plus VA 3% tax for my BASE V6.
Tech costs like $3,000 more. So I'd say anything between $33,500 and $34,000 is a good deal.
But you know what man, I drive a TSX myself but I wouldn't blow that much on a TSX. Get the TL instead. The only reason I got the TSX was because my twin brother bought a TL a week before I got the TSX. Since we are roommates, we can switch cars whenever the other gets boring, so it's as if I already had a TL.
And I plan to give the TSX to my soon wife-to-be within 6 months when I get married. I want her to look more girly driving a TSX as opposed to the manly TL.
Trust me, TL is A LOT MORE car for the same price. MUCH MUCH MUCH better leather that doesn't start cracking and looks all wrinkly after only 2 weeks, 6 CD changer, more mood lighting, Airplane style night lights, passenger side 8 way power AND heated back, I mean, it's a better car. TL's brakes are much stronger as well.
If I was not getting married soon or if my twin brother did not already have the TL, there is no reason why I would've gotten the TSX over the TL especially they are practically the same price.
