What MPG do you get with 6-speed Manual Transmission?
I was surprised to see that the Manual Transmission (6 speed) gets 23 combined whereas the Automatic (5 speed) gets 25 combined according to EPA. Could owners with the 6 speed manual post some average miles/gallon? Are you really averaging 23mpg? I would think the manual would get at least 25mpg.

Same here. I get about 25-26 according to my calculations of taking the gallons at each fillup an divide by the miles driven since last fullup. The cars calculation is wrong by about 10%. Best tank was about 31 all highway and worst was 22. I had it at the dealer having warranty work done and also the windows tinted. My guess is they left the car idle the entire time.

The one time I calculated manually, I got 28.6 with about 80% highway. My "city" driving is true city -- downtown Philadelphia. Even a few extra miles a day in Philly kills my overall mileage.
I'm not sure why the manual has lower EPA numbers than the automatic. I read somewhere the manual has a shorter final drive ratio, which could be part of it. Regardless, I suspect the manual, driven judiciously, could do at least as well as the automatic.

I usually get about 30-31 mpg highway doing 70 with the cruise set. I drive 120 miles round trip to work with little to no traffic on the highway so i never have to slow down or speed up. When i drive at 80 mph for that tank it's about 27-28 mpg. Only about 6 miles of the 120 is 35 mph when i exit/enter the highway. I can't tell you city since i only drive this car for work.

Wraith, what's your impression of the ride quality for your all highway driving? Are you comfortable during long highway trips? I'm used to Honda Civic/Accord #60 sidewall tires (TSX has #50). Do you think I'd be comfortable for long drives in the TSX, or do you have to be a "sport enthusiast" to find comfort with the firmer TSX ride? I've never driven a Sport Sedan on a long trip, so I have no experience with how comfortable or not it will be.

According to the trip computer I'm getting about 23-24 in the city and 30-32 on the highway. I've always figured the EPA's numbers for the manual were a bit conservative and it looks like that's the case. I didn't see how these cars could average only 28 mpg on the highway with a manual tranny and my car has indeed never averaged that little on the highway.
