I work in Information Assurance / Cyber Security in the government sector. I was on active duty in the Navy for 5 years and now serve in the Navy Reserve part time. I'm not married so I live pretty comfortably these days.

What's the deal with the touchpads and webOS? I snagged a 32 gig--it's a pretty nice machine. Are they selling off webOS to Amazon or something?

:P I have been stopped twice with 20% tint on two different cars (both black) and never hassled about the tint. I did catch a ticket on one of those stops for "failure to obey a highway sign".

I *always* recommend rolling down all windows in your vehicle if they are tinted while being stopped by the cops. Doesn't especially hide your tint, but it does show Officer Friendly that you aren't hiding anything that puts him in danger.

5tht2nd: I have a touchpad as well and it is not a bad device indeed. As of now, HP is no longer producing webOS devices...but the OS still belongs to them. They have a few options now on what to do with it. They can sell it..license it out to another company or just hang on to it. Sales on the touchpad were not as competitive as they thought so they left the game early because apparently that was just the best business decision for them. I am relaying this info from a meeting that took place on Oct.2nd so you can likely discount all rumors you've heard involving amazon and shit like that. HP has not made a decision yet.

if you graduated high school the same year, it'd take you over a decade to catch up to him depending on what your starting salary is. he'll be atleast 4 years ahead of you, meaning when you graduate college, he'll already have made over 400k, plus have 4 years of job experience. then when you get out of college and lets say start making 150k a year(being generous here). 12 years after graduating you'll have made 1.2 mil. in 12 years of working, he'll have made the same amount. thats IF you start out making that much(unlikely unless you have a really good connect) and IF you have no loans/debt to pay back. crazy numbers huh?
