Wait I'm confused..
I bought my car recently towards the end of August. I have around 2.5k miles on my car. For the longest time, I thought I had a acura tsx 2012 SE. However today I've been told SE comes with a red cluster. I have a white cluster which means I have a normal tsx. I'm not bothered by this but this fact but the fact that I clearly remember on paper the contract stated 2012 tsx SE during my purchase at the dealership. I also do have the copy of the contract which also states the same thing. What should I do now? Should I contact the dealership ASAP? Or am i dealing wit a defect? I'm so confused

Is the rest of your car SE?
Do you have side skirts? steel pedals? unique seats?
does a badge say SE on the rear?

does it have a special edition badge on the back?
lip, side skirts, rear bumper?
suede inserts?
Gun metal accent rims?
SE's are pretty obvious.
im not sure how they would have got you... it wouldnt look like every other TSX on the lot...
if you did, that SUCKS. i would talk to a lawyer asap.

how much did you pay for your car?
can we get a pic? do you have a special edition badge on your car.
most likely if you do not have a red cluster, you do not have a special edition

2) Did you know what a TSX SE actually is when you went in to buy the car? Did you understand the pricing structure of the different models? Or did you let the dealer explain it to you and sell you a 'TSX SE.'
Certainly you knew what model of TSX you were buying(?) Certainly you were armed with some sort of pricing before you even went into the dealership.
Have you registered with your VIN on the Acura owners website? You will know in an instant what car you bought. Click here: http://owners.acura.com/
Sorry, but this sounds a bit too weird to me. If you intentionally bought the SE version, then you would have known what you were buying. If you walked into a dealership blind and let them sell you any car off their floor, well I don't know what to say....

I checked again and my car does have everything from the side skirts to the more aggressive grill. The interior is black leather and I payed around 29k. I don't believe the dealer would do anything intentionally fraudulent as my family has over 3 cars from them, a 2011 acura mdx, 2012 Honda Odyssey, and now my tsx. And I am not trolling. I can't believe the amount of rude comments I'm getting. No I did not intentionally walk into the dealership knowing I would buy the tsx. I was supposed to buy the 2013 genesis coupe but it was out of stock everywhere near me. I needed a car ASAP because school was starting soon and I needed to drive up. I'll post pics when I get the chance to

yea.. you def dont have a SE...
the interior shouldnt be all leather.
if they sold you a SE and thats what the paperwork says then they screwed you.
if you had gotten a SE, 29 would be a pretty damn good deal. (i paid right around 30 and got 2 grand more on my trade in)
seems like you just got a accessorized base.
sorry man.

The only way we will be able to determine if it truly is or isn't one is by you posting pictures of it. But from what you have indicated so far (white cluster, leather interior), your TSX is most likely NOT a Special Edition.
I also believe there was no change from a regular 2012 grille to a 2012 SE grille.

These are pretty old pictures towards when I first bought my car. My car is parked pretty far from campus so il take more pics when I can. Also I haven't gotten a single good advice as to What I can do? If its on paper don't I have the ability to do something??

If your interior is ONLY leather, that is a clear indication that it is NOT an SE.

the grill stayed the same.

whoa.. i thought the base cluster was blue??
i could be wrong since ive never seen a base cluster before...

SE cluster looks like this
interior looks like this
and the wheels look like this
everything else (bumper, side skirts, lip) can be bought aftermarket i believe so these are the definite indicators
does your paperwork say "special edition" or "SE"?
if it does, you should call the dealer and yell at someone.

Yea the paperwork indicates SE 2012 acura tsx. As for the interior it is definitely not SE. I'm planning to call but the only problem is the dealership is 400 miles away since I'm at school till thanksgiving break. Il definitely have a talk with them

The SPECIAL Special Edition.
Keep your car man...it's a one of a kind TSX. SSE.
I honestly don't know what to tell you...Give them a call and talk to your dealer...the one that sold u all the other Acuras and tell him your situation and ask what to do. Hopefully this works out in your favor but yea...

If your sales agreement said SE, you have a good case here. No decent dealer should be making this kind of mistake. I would talk to the dealer especially since you are a repeat customer. You should keep your cool but be firm on your demand. I would demand a replacement SE. Good luck.

^^ yeah and get a manual. Then send me your red cluster.

If its on paper as SE, I think you can make a strong case here. But, how much did you pay?? Did you pay for the price of a regular TSX, or the SE. That is probably whats most improtant. But then again, if you negotiated the price based on the assumption that you were getting the SE, its their fault still for making the offer "too good to be true." cause in the end, you purchased it thinking it was an SE.
