I know some of you are one the .com forums as well....but for those that arent...someone just asked that forum for someone from socal to come and testfit, and stuff like that here is the exact post

"Hey 2nd Gen owners, ViS has replicated the Full Mugen Kit for your cars and I need a test fitter. But the person who brings in the car needs to agree to have it painted and installed within a certain time frame for Picture purposes. If you are interested and are local Socal then shoot me a text 626-975-7011 and we can work a date to bring in the car.

The kit once it's test fitted and pictures taken, it will be available for purchase through the forum using your forum name for a discount. Thanks guys!"

Since I already bought the JDP front lip and rear wing, hopefully they sell the parts separately cause im down for the sideskirts and rear end hahaa just thought i would share this!

they don't really say one way or another who pays for paint and also whether the test fitter gets to keep the products.......

Sorry to cross post, but a VIS "kit" we did back in like...98 or 99...required about 100 man hours to get it ready to paint. That includes shaving, trimming, adding glass here & there, trimming again, filling holes in the roven. there was just a smidgeon of gelcoat, dunno how they got it out of the mold. That time didn't include paint, fwiw. It was a Del Slo Mugen replikit.

Now you know what R&D stands for...Ripoff & Duplicate.

So...be the test fitter, expect $1200-$1500 to fit it and paint to make it look right IF you can find someone with the ability and desire to do it. No, the manufacturer won't pay for paint.

When a company makes a replica kit, they use the original part for the "buck" or the "plug" and they build a mold around it. There's so much heat in the process, it warps the part...AND the mold. Every piece after that even if *perfectly* laid, is still warped.

$.02..soapbox off.
