I was thinking about covering my roof with black vinyl. and instead of paint matching the grille, matching it with white vinyl.

so black roof, white grille all done with vinyl.




Anyone else done this? ive never had vinyl on my car.


also if any of you guys (mucter?) can do a quick photoshop render of the idea i was looking for that'd be very appreciated.

I think someone tried to do the grill with vinyl, and from the pictured I saw it didn't look too great. It will be hard to match the car paint shade with vinyl....

The roof has been done many times on the 1G before, they even sell kits, but I have not seen the 2G roof done. The only concern is the durability and the paint damage it might cause when installed onto the roof.

But it would look sweet, black roof white car....

 

yea i did black vinyl on my PMM and it doesnt look good. too many bubbles and creases. it may work out if you had a professional do it. im gonna take the vinyl off and just have it painted

i think the guy that did the vinyl shield grille did his black and his tsx was either gray or some other color i dont remember. it didnt look good with mismatched colors.

i dont even trust myself enough to do the roof on my own. ill have it done by a professional.

 

Did you ever have this done? I am thinking about doing this myself but going to have the grill painted PWP to match the car and have the roof done in black.
