V 6 tsx

Hi. I've been looking into buying a v6 tsx in the pittsburgh area. It's really weird though. None of the dealerships sell them and when I talked to a salesman her, tried to push me away from it. Does anybody know what the deal is with selling that car?

The ILX and RDX/MDX are pretty much their bread and butter now. I'm not sure why they would "push" you away from a car you have an interest in but I assure you, there isn't anything different from it vs. anyone elses' V6. So if you want it, it is your choice.

V6 is harder to find. The I4 sales wayyyyyyy outnumber the V6.

I have a 2010 V6. If you ask me it's a good car often overlooked and overly bashed by the media. It's fast! If you asked me about weak points it would be the brakes and the front grille. They're out there. You can get a good deal on a CPO 1-2 years old if you want, that's what I did.

A salesman told me that there's no point in saleing a v6 Tsx when u can by a tl for 600 more. That's why Acura dealerships don't stock v6 Tsx.

I agree. A fine auto with numerous advantages over the TL. Dealers will push what they have in stock and what they stock will be what they can move fastest. If you want a V6 tell them to find one in the region, order it, or go to another dealer.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure if they stocked more of them they would sell. I don't get. They're supposed to be faster than a tl too. I'll search around some more and see if I can dig one up somewhere.

I have the 2010 V6 base. I got a good deal on it when i purchased it, but at list prices, it's about the same price of the TL. I chose the TSX over the TL because of its size (smaller) and the TL's look (at the time). It has a lot of power and I personally love it.

If i were in the market today, I would pick the 4 cylinder, as it handles a bit better (lighter) and better fuel economy.

I have a '10 TSX V6 Tech and it is a great car! I came from an '07 TL and I wouldn't consider a 4 cylinder. I bought mine in Feb '12 and it had been on the dealer's lot almost 2 years and never sold. I am the original owner. Of course they wanted to get rid of a 2 year old "new" car and were really willing to deal. The dealer had driven it some and it had 1,329 miles on it when I closed the deal. It stickered for over $39k and I got it for $28k and change. It's a great car and the only thing I can think of that would keep it from selling is the retail price.

If you can find a good used one with low mileage, you will get a lot of car for a good price. The used ones are selling for less than $30k. I think it's a great buy for that price. It is a sweet little ride. It's very fast and rides and drives superbly. I have no regrets getting it.

That's interesting to know a32tl. I'll have to see if there's another one like that sitting somewhere. I agree. The new tsx looks a lot better than the new tl.

What dealer in Pittsburgh did you go to? I would have to check but I think Smail or Spitzer had a V6 in stock.

i also got my v6 tech used - it was a service loaner, great deal at the time.

gas, its a v6 that requires premium - it will be more thirsty and costly to run, deal with it.

The TL is faster-particularly the 6speed auto version out now. I think for some reason the 6cyl tsx weights a couple hundred pounds more. Interestingly, the 4cyl auto is punchy off the line and feels faster up to ~60. I don't think that's the reality but on the highway the 6cyl dominates.

I didn't consider the TL for its size and looks.
