underbody rust proofing?

underbody rust proofing?

I was thinking of getting the underbody rust proofing done....anyone have it done to their cars?

i dont ... and IMO its a money making scheme for dealers, i really dont think its worth it. in general acura's hold up pretty well too

Alternative is to get 3 or4 cans of undercoating spray and doing it yourself if you can safely do so. Ideally you need to rsise the car on jackstands and remove some of the plastic splash guards etc underneath, then apply product to sheetmetal. Don't forget to use thick grease style rustproofing inside the doors: use the drain doles underneath the doors to spray inside. I had done thay to my 2000 accord and never had rust issues up here in canada. So i did the same to my tsx. Pretty cheap, cost me less than 60$.
