Tsx winter storage rust proofing question !?
Hey everyone !! I decided that I will be storing my 2010 tsx V6 tech that i bought this year in my garage for winter and will be driving my trusty old 2000 3.2TL during winter and was wondering if it is necessary to rust proof the whole car before storing it .. The car has never been sprayed and has no rust nowhere except for some minor stone chips on the hood that I already took care of !! The car will be stored in a low humidity garage with a cement floor and will be putting a moisture barrier over it .. Let me know what you think ... Thanks !!!

Did you mean "winterize" it for storage, not rust proofing? All cars sold in the rust belt come with some sort of rust proofing sprayed on.

Google how to winterize a car for how to's.

wrap the whole car in plastic wrap, and just to be safe plastidip the whole thing overtop.

rustproofing spray
If you are going to spray it you should check out Krown. I have used it on all my Hondas and Acuras and my father did too. It's a polymer of some type, non-hydrocarbon, it creeps into everywhere and lubricates everything - hinges, bushings... Has to be done yearly. I'm actually taking my 1986 Prelude SE today before the fall rush. Gonna snow here by early October and then it goes away til May.
