I have had my TSX Tech for over a month now and I noticed that I can't turn interior lights on in car while moving. I looked in owners manuel and it shows a three postion switch next to sunroof switch. It has on at one end and door in the center and off at other end. My switch that is installed in my car has door at one end and off at other. I have called dealer who is looking into the matter. I also called Acura client relations and got the two step from a guy that had no clue. All that he said was the quote "not on all models". Needless to say after 30 minutes on the phone with him I felt like bang my head against the wall. I can't belive that Acura would build a car that you can not turn the dome lights on with out openning door. If anyone has correct switch installed fell free to chime in or if you have what I have also chime in. Thanks...

 

I believe the front dome light does not have an ON position in the switch because you can just push the lights in and they turn on. However, the rear dome light in my Tech does have an ON position.

 

are you talking about the map lights where you just push them to turn them on??

 

Im talkin about switch next to sunroof switch. It should turn on map lights and rear light. Owners manual shows how it should be, lights controlled by door or all on or all off.

 

the switch next to my sunroof only controls the front map lights on my 12 tech. it has 3 pos. always off. on with door open or switch. always on.

 

You might be reading the section for the Canadian Model. Mine also has ON - DOOR - OFF on both switches, I just checked.

 

Sounds like you have correct switch installed in yours. My car was built in the middle of this June dont know if they ran out of switch and installed the one I got to keep line moving.

 

Mine does not it has door and off. I read what you just described what you have.

 

Funny you posted this question, I've had my SE 6-spd since Dec. 2011 and I noticed the switch is just a 2-position switch. So on my SE it will not turn the interior lights on either!
What is up with this?

 

on me ....i stand corrected.

the switch on my overhead only has 2 positions. it only controls the front map lights. its either on of off with door open. of course you can PUSH them in for ON no matter where the switch is.

 

Need a little help here- i changed a poem light switch and now the dome/map lights do not come on when i open the doors. What did I do wrong ??
