A couple of weeks ago, the Button on my driver's side door which would normally open my trunk stopped working. Just the other day I realized that the little button above my license plate ON the trunk is also not working. Seems like these are likely related technical issues.

I'd rather not bring this into a dealer to look at because this strikes me as the kind of minor issue that would cost $300+. Anyone have any ideas of what I can do to fix this issue myself?

The trunk still opens with the key fob but it'd be nice to have the other buttons functioning as well as I use them fairly often.

If you open your glove box, you will see an on/off switch for trunk release. It's to prevent valet having access to your trunk with the valet key. You may have accidentally turned it on.

Hahaha I felt so dumb when I first read it, I almost hoped that wasn't the answer but obviously I'd rather that than something that'll cost money.
