Traded in the TSX

yup my 09 is GONE, stepped up to the 2012 TL tech sh-awd!

The TSX was fun, but definitely outdated for a 2009 car.

The TL is sick, the tech package and this car makes the one in the TSX seem like an old ass desktop from compaq. They painted the wheel hubs AND calipers, white stitching on leather, the car really is rediculous. go get one now.

Congrats on your new car! It is at a higher level all around over the 2009 TSX. For others reading this, it's worth noting that the 2011+ TSX Tech package is essentially the same as the TL now.

Congratz on the upgrade! How different does it feel driving a TL which is practically a boat compared to the TSX lol

Nice upgrade. Correct me if I am wrong. But you had grigio tax with 18" black OZ rims and chrome pillars right?

Lovely ride! I sometimes wish I'd went for a TL but I couldn't get past the current exterior design. I love the sub-08 TL's looks perhaps more than my 10 TSX, but I must say I am satisfied with my TSX. Wishing you many safe miles in your new ride!

yes Ed, I got 15k, car had 42k miles, eibach kit was definitely wearing down the shocks cuz the ride was pretty rough every bump all you heard was thump thump, smoking vehicle, leather was a diff color up front, headliner was FILTHY from fingerprints, im happy with the deal.

Woah woah woah... sounds like the TSX went through it.

BTW are you going to take care of the TL and does it have the 6 spd MT ('12 TLs has the 6spd auto now)?

I got the 6 spd auto...and grandma car...definitely not pal. Gonna try my best to take care of it but things will happen in NYC that aren't in my control and people are just careless assholes.

Keeping the TL in great shape.

NYC seems to be pretty crazy. I hear there's a lot of rude people up north, like in Boston, NYC, etc. I know they CAN be here in the south.

it is a very nice car - but the Tech package (just ordered my 2012 TSX Tech) is great and equivalent. I have the 4 cylinder 2010 TSX Premium - lots of pep for me and very fuel efficient, with the 2012 even better. However, if i wanted a 6 cylinder I likely would have opted for the 2012 TL Tech FWD over the TSX 6 Tech. Price pretty close and the TL is a little better on gas.

if i had choice between V6 tech and TL tech FWD, i think i'd choose the TSX. something about it being built mainly in Japan, while the TL is mainly american makes the TSX a lot more appealing to me! honestly one of the only advantages the TL offers is the SH-AWD, and the available bigger engine. if your not seizing either of those, i don't see the point, i love the body of the TSX so much more. but then again, i guess its personal opinion! to each his own

Nice upgrade. I am a firm believer in the 2012 SH-AWD. Hell of a car, and I really like the updated/modified grille.

SH-AWD with the 6MT is the only way to go, but I see you're in NYC, so I get it

well, two other advantages to consider are the 6AT that offers better fuel mileage, and a better looking interior. it would also seem that better deals are to be had on the tl from dealers due to availability

while i agree with you on the overall shape of the tsx, i'm also partial to the tl's body colored door handles and mirrors, and the chrome trim on the roof gutters gives an added element of luxury

while my tsx was being serviced I had a 2011 TL as a loaner car. It was very nice but too big for my garage-Have a freezer and shelfing in it so the tsx fits nicely.

True. Not to mention the fact that the body of the TL is built more "solid" IMO. The TSX is lighter and more fragile, I would argue. Case in point? The rigidity/flimsiness of the TSX trunk. The body of it is light as hell. True, it's probably built that way for safety, but still...

The TL's interior felt a lot more "grown up" to me, although I have no issues with the TSX interior.

As for the SH-AWD vs. the FWD, it depends on your taste. My mother has a 2010 FWD 5AT, and I've test driven a 2010 SH-AWD 6MT. There is no comparison in handling; the SH-AWD wins hands down. That being said, I wouldn't have an issue driving a FWD TL, especially since I reside in the South.

nj2pa2nc, no mention of your "problem-free" miles? what's gotten into you?

Potzmilk I want to add a quote to my signature of how you came up with your name from the 4G section, that Steven Bell posted.

BTW, Nice car too.
