thinking of getting new tsx v6 or....
the lease on my 07 is going to be up soon and im considering the v6 tsx when it comes out, problem is i really wanted something AWD but i think this tsx with 280hp will be pretty quick (figure about 6 sec 0-60?). dont really like the new grill and most of the design but still should be good value... i figure for a lease about 2500-3000 down and about 350/mo?
alos considering :
G37x coupe
pro: very fast + awd
con: pretty $$$, interior is so so
A4 2.0t
pro: awesome new interior, looks great!
con: only 210 hp...but 265 tq!!!!!!!
is250 awd
pro: lexus' great interior and reliability
con: kinda girls car??
328xi
pro: bmw handeling... bmw handeling... bmw handeling
con: very $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
ye im pretty bored... so anyway i really like a V6 in the new tsx but i might be bored with another tsx, but the price/reliability and speed is tempting. i guess this forum might be a bit bias, anyway i think ill test drive them all and see.

Stay away from the IS250. Yes it's a bitch car and it's not a good value. I personaly don't want anything with an AT so I'd choose any of those other cars if offered in MT before the V6 AT TSX. An AT is a step and go car no matter what engine it has in it. An MT 328xi or G37x will definately be more fun to drive. I'd look closely at them if they are in the right price range.

No, it doesn't and neither will the TSX.
Considering they weigh about the same and use the same transmission its probably a good bet that the TSX will have roughly the same acceleration as an Accord sedan. Possibly .5 seconds quicker without VCM and maybe more aggressive gearing.

The IS250 was my choice...until the 2nd gen. TSX game out. The Acura was just too much of a better deal to pass up and the new styling actually made it not bland finally. Took mine with a manual tranny. No stick, no thanks. I don't see the IS as a chick car. The likely reason why you see more women driving them is because most men of average size can't comfortably fit in the cramped interior in that car. If you'e a 6 footer like me, the back seat is essentially useless. The G is nice, but it's manual tranny sucks and at 300+ horsepower, it's more car than I needed. The Germans are simply overpriced for what you get and the reliability is spotty, so they were never seriously considered.

i was just looking at the acura site, didnt realize but this new tsx is as big as the last gen tl. same lenth, and with a v6 it will be same wieght? wtf? no way it will be a small nimble sedan like the first gen tsx. i drove the last gen tl with what the first rated as 270hp then down rated it to 257 i think, any way it was pretty nice ride, but big sedan feel, not too fast or sporty.

The IS250 AWD and 328xi will both be slow compared to the V6 TSX. I would definitely take a look at the G37x coupe, but it will probably cost about $10k more than the TSX. The A4 is a very nice car, but I'm not adventurous enough to take a chance on Audi reliability, or lack thereof.

Will you buy at the end of lease?
If not, I think A4 will be a good choice. Why not 328xi? Because you are looking for AWD not RWD.
If you will buy at the end of lease, I'd say a fully loaded G37x. It has the potential to be on par with 335xi. And I trust Nissan reliability more than BMW.
I would stay away from IS250 AWD. Yes, it has a V6 but don't forget to look at the displacement; it's a 2.5L V6. This engine only makes slightly more power than the TSX's K24. With the weight of the AWD system, it is slower than your 07 TSX. You are looking for a faster car, right?
The V6 TSX... well... I'd say wait and see if it'll have SH-AWD in the future. In the mean time, enjoy something else.

Hey now...there's nothing wrong with an IS250 AWD....
The IS is not very roomy if you're gonna have passengers often and I still think it's a coupe with 4 doors. The AWD system is nice, but I had no problems with my old TSX in the snow either. Though I still miss my TSX, I couldn't get another one. I had to have something different...
Based on your list, I would definitely go with the G37 Coupe. That would've been my car had it came out when I was looking.

makes me wonder which car to go for when i change my car...
but i'll be getting a used car tho.
i don't have IS250 in my list tho.. but a IS350. @@. Maybe also a G35, (unless i can find a cheap used G37)...and Audi A4 2.0. I even have TL-S in my mind.
oh well, my budget's not that high.

Personally, I would go with either the TSX V6 or the G37X.
As much as I love the new A4, it is very expensive for a 4 cylinder car, esp. if you want all the goodies to make it as luxurious as the TSX or G37. You will be looking at over $40K! Hmm... I am not so sure about that.
The 328xi is nice, but then it is also very expensive with all the goodies. Also, I hate the fact that you will be buying a $40K+ car (loaded) and they will still not give you the nice chrome trim around the grille and the windows - you need to get the 335 to get that treatment! Isn't that bogus or what?
As for the IS250 AWD.... well, it's small, slow, and older now.... it's last on my list.

V6 TSX is the most sensible choice if it can be bought around $35K. you get new 18inch rims. and would have better fuel economy & reliablity than any other car in this price/performance range. similar equiped G37/TL would be $40K. I think TSX will be faster than TL/USDM Accord at higher speeds just because it is more aerodynamic. 2G TSX is faster than 1G TSX despite having more weight & frontal area. Front width increased by 3 inches. TL width either stays the same or decreased in 4G.

I don't know...the EVO X MR can go 0-60 in under 5.5 seconds, AWD technology that rivals Nissan GT-R, practical 4 doors with a practical rear seat, deep tradition, and has one of the best driver's seat available at any price. Since it is Mitsu, you can probably haggle the price down to below $35k for MR model. And from Edmunds.com, their MR has been reliable.

really the 2G tsx is faster than the old one? i didnt know that, starnge with the extra weight and same power, actually the 1G claims 205 and new one claims 201. i think reliability of the infiniti should be almost if not as good as acura. the G37 is just so much faster and the awd is nice, but it also comes out to about $3000 more for the whole lease, tho at end of the yr infiniti has crazy deals. those are pretty much my only 2 choices now, just gotta wait and test drive em.
Infiniti drinks gas like SUV. Not sure about G37 with 7Speed Auto. you will get Oil spiked in next two to three years due to low investments. once you want AWD car. You better try A4. It will be upgraded for 2010. There is no point comparing 2009 & 2010 cars.

No offense to any Infiniti owner, but being somewhat of a purist, I noticed a distinct difference in build quality between my Q45 (old Nissan) and the newer Nissan/Infiniti models. (Post Renault acquisition.) This is what brought me to Honda. (Well, that and the change to timing chains, torque, and MAF's by Honda.)

2G TSX feels alot stronger and is more fuel efficient than 1G. I tried alot on up and down hills of bayarea. I am approaching 460 mile a tank in mixed driving. 500 mile is possibility on mixed driving during summer.

2G TSX's fuel tank size is 18.5 gal. 17.2 for 1G TSX.

Actually the G sedan performs better since it weighs less. The coupe is just for looks. Plus you can get the sport package on the G37x sedan (though no sport suspension, just paddle shifters + sport seats + wheels).
#34
You're right, the sedan is about 50 lbs. lighter. The point stands that the sedan is a better value. I actually like the looks of the sedan better than those of the coupe for the current gen G37. Conversely, I thought the coupe looked far better than the sedan last gen.
#35
From Point A to Point B. 2G reaches much earlier due to better acceleration.

hey guys, im not sure where to post this but I am planning on buying a 2010 TSX White Pearl/Ebony with Tech and v4 engine. Im just curious to see if i'm getting ripped off or not...the dealer offered me the car for $30,800 which I believe is $100 above invoice. And said he will throw in the deck lid spoiler and factory remote start for an extra $200. So total 2010 TSX Tech with spoiler and remote start would be $31K even. Is this a good deal?
