is there a difference between 09-10 and 11-12 tail lights?

fuck trash day!

was in a hurry to get to work.
backed in to my neighbors trash can

no other damage but of course, the damn tail light is busted.

i think for now, ill just patch it up with some left over red vinyl since its all vinyled anyway.

on average, they seem to be around $120-$140
09-10 seem to be cheaper.

whats the difference in 09-10 tails and 11-12 tails?

anybody got a tail light for sale?
know any good sources?

there's like 6 bolts, 2 screws, and 2 clips I think
it's relatively easy but if you need help just let me know and I can clarify

then remove the taillight

I think theres just 4 bolts holding in the corner tail lights. Bumper needs to be removed, and theres a bolt or two inside the trunk area where you replace the bulb.

found this.

to remove to the tail light, id just basically need to be able to reach the bolts right?
in theory, i should be able to just pull that side out a bit and unscrew whats holding the tail light in place?

you can try it if you dont have enough room, you'll just have to remove the other side as well

i busted my right tail too, the outside piece, not on the trunk. ordered a new one from a guy around here, $140 shipped straight from the dealer, curry acura. comes with all the bulbs inside. i can do a DIY for you if you'd like when i replace it. probably tonight

please do!

seems most of them do come with the bulbs already installed which is awesome.

i may put it off a bit longer.
i think it will look no different if i just re-cover it in red vinyl. its a very small piece that just broke off nowhere near the lights but a DIY for later down the road would be awesome!

alrighty so i just did it, took me about an 2 hours due to some difficulties and the car was grimy, as way the ambulance bay, and the fact that we had a call part of the way through... lmfao. oh drunks... you have the best timing

anyways, its not that bad. should take under 30-40 min if properly prepped. you'll need a phillips head screwdriver, a 10mm socket wrench, preferably with extension, and a 6mm socket wrench, likely with an extension. also whatever you use to pop out clips. i did it with only pulling half the bumper off. i'll put up more details/pics tom. if you decide you wanna do it before i post, just shoot me a PM and i'll put it up or tell you to call me lol
