Is there be anyone who DOESNT like tints???
Well, i never really was into tints, but recently i am feeling like itll improve the look of my grigio car shits. Tints seem like win-win, heat reduction and some cool blackiness on ur windows. Idk what made me change my mind, before i thought they were kind of douchey, but now i see the tinted light.
Not thinking of getting anything more than 35%, possible 50%

it's a car-drive it
Our cars do not have anymore than the standard light tints that come with the vehicles. We live on the southern coast of NC but really do not think we need them. To each their own. The most we could do would be 32%.

KillerG, that is
thank you for your honest opinion. I have been of this school of though as long as ive been driving cars, but recently something ticked and i feel like getting tints. I was hoping to hear from people like you so i could get back into my old train of thought
we can haz before and after pics?
5% seems excessive! can you see at night?
Also, does rear window ghosting happen with ALL tints?

^depends on the type of tint and how thick the material is.
i opted for the most expensive option, because of the heat reflection. The texas heat aint no joke.
when i first got the car back, I was pissssssssssssssssssssssed that the rear window had a little bit of ghosting...
cant do anything about it, as the tint is to thick and the tinter didnt handle it properly.
Ive also read reviews about Huper Optik tint, and everyone seemed to have ghosting.

is ghosting something that makes you consider suicide like a constant CEL or does it eventually stop bothering you?
I have a feeling i would never be able to happy with ghosting

if youre getting the cheapy dyed material. you wont have a problem with ghosting.
dyed tint fades over time.
ceramic and metallic tint remain the same color and is best for heat rejection but also have a chance of ghosting....
at first i was pisssssssssssssssssed. but its just a car. and i got over it. now, you can barely tell that its there unless you look at a certain angle.

I'll try to find pics of my old car. And I'll do a before/after of my wagon once it's done.

Do 50% in the front if you want, but honestly 30% isn't extremely noticeable.

my concern is that if i go 50% or something if its illegal they will just use that as an excuse to ticket me. I am all out of PBA cards

I asked the guy for 35% on the front and rear windows and 20% on the windshield but I think he may have given me 35% front two and 20% on the rest. I was looking out the windows last time and the back two seemed darker than the front passenger one when I looked out. I'll take a picture during the day and at night later. 35% is probably light enough that you don't stand out (to the police). I think 20% is where it gets real noticeable. I still lower my windows when I see popo though...just in case they're feeling tickety...
