Tall Drivers?

Any tall drivers out there in the TSX?

Anyone know how driver legroom is measured? Is it from the front of the seat back to the end of the seat cushion and then to the pedal or does it extend somewhere beyond the seat cushion to the pedal? I've sat in some cars that had great legroom specs, but I couldn't get my knees past the dash board.

I semi-fit in my '88 Accord since the dash cuts away. There is no way I can stretch my legs out in it. My MDX has even less legroom. I have noticed in the Accords that Honda has reduced the legroom specs in the latest generation from 43.1 to 42.5. I guess everyone, but myself is getting shorter once again.

The time last fall that I sat in the TSX legroom was acceptable, but there is enough room beside the pedals that I can almost stretch my legs, unlike the new Accords which have no place beyond the pedals to place your foot.

I'm pretty evenly proportioned. I'm 6'6" with a 36" inseam. Anyone my size driving a TSX? Any problems?

I think your best bet is to take a long test drive. When someone is taller it really depends how they are built and their comfortable seating position. You are right on the cusp of being able to comfortably fit in most cars, but before buying I would want to be 100% sure.

I am not near as tall, only 6' and on the small side of average build, so I fit in virtually every car comfortably.

Wow, 6'6''. There's a good chance the TSX can work with you because it has a telescoping steering column. If your legs hit the dash just scoot the seat back and bring the steering wheel out a bit.

I'd think you'd like a coupe best though because they have longer doors which means that after you scoot your seat back you wont have the b-pillar beside you, you'll still have some window. That new Accord Coupe looks pretty nice.

6'4" here, no problems at all with my 1G, seating position in the 2G seemed pretty much identical when I took a test drive. Best thing is to drive the car yourself, make sure you have good visibility (have someone walk all the way around the car so you can check) and that you're comfortable.

I had a 2007 TSX and at the time I was 6'5" and 350lbs. I had no problem in the TSX. As for the 2nd gen, it seemed bigger inside to me when I sat in one at the local auto show.

Thanks for all your inputs. I did get down to sit in and test drive the TSX yesterday. I fit fairly comfortably. Unlike the new Accords there is plenty of room to the left of the brake pedal to stretch your leg while on cruise control.

The TSX's quality and ride was most impressive. Seemed to have plenty of power to me. The Basque Red model was absolutely gorgeous. Now I am just waiting for a cure for the torque convertor pinging. It seems this is a worldwide problem. Is this a deal breaker?

I am 6'4"", 205lbs, also with a 36" inseam. I find the seats very comfortable relative to what I drove before (Camry V6). Under thigh support is much better, and the telescopic steering wheel makes for a very comfortable driving position IMO.

Picked up my 09 TSX auto tech in Basque Red/Parchment yesterday. I fit fine and this car is amazing. The electronics absolutely blows away the ones in my 01 MDX Tech. Couldn't have been any more fun to drive. This four cylinder has loads of power. I don't know why anyone would want any more. That and the mileage is excellent. Averaged 34.8 over 250 miles yesterday with about 80% highway.

Just ordered splash guards and all season mats from Honda Acura World. Unfortunately it's mud season now. The windows will be tinted next Saturday.

I'll try to get some pics today after washing it. Got to wait for the temps to get above freezing first.

Hello, I'm 6'4" @ 215 lbs. and I'm interested in the TSX. Will I fit properly in this car? I'm particularly concerned about headroom. Thanks for your time.

36" inseam here and my legs are pretty comfortable. I can move my seat back a bit if I wanted to, so there's plenty of room.

I know you already got your car, but I thought I'd share. I'm 6'10 and I fit comfortably. I found this car to have more room than most other sedans its size and even bigger. It even has more legroom than some SUVs that I have driven. All I can say is that there aint much room for a person behind me lol. Needless to say I love the car and even on a 7 hour road trip with only one stop to stretch I was comfortable the whole way.
