meh, thats one of those freak of nature occurances, that probably won't happen to you again till the cars out of warranty lol. I wouldn't worry to much about it for now. Maybe you had your headlights set to the on position and it was day time, and you just didn't notice the cluster lighting up

yeah then don't worry about it, I'd ask the dealers to look at it, just to document that you complained about it.. but then again if you'r only gonna have it for 2 more years its not an issue. forget it ever happened lol

I know this isn't exactly related, but I've had my backup camera not work on occasion too. My backup lights worked, but no camera. I turn the car off, turn it back on, and it works again. Its happened twice in a year and a half.

I think what happened is that both times I got in the car and immediately after starting it I put the car into reverse. I don't think I gave the computer enough time to come up. Funny thing is the camera wouldn't come up at all until I powered off then back on, no matter how long I let it run or techniques I tried to get it back up without restarting.

Like I said its only happened twice in a year and a half. Maybe its something similar? Just a computer thing....like a prius LOL

dude same thing just happened to me last night and i was thinking about posting. i was sitting in the car for while waiting for a friend. finally ready to go, i turned my car on, and i dont think i instantly turned it to reverse, but the camera did not turn on. lights were fine. i went back and forth from P and R a few times but no camera, just the map, and the car icon on the map actually showed me going backwards haha. i just let it go and i left. this morning leaving for work the camera worked fine.
i know its probably just somethign minor, but i just bought the car last saturday so its a little frightening.

Is any car in perfect working order?

And I've had the back up camera thing to and went to the dealer they couldn't reproduce the issue, but documented the complaint so if it happens again even when i'm out of warranty they will address it since i complained about it under warranty. Which is why I say go document the issue, but its not something to worry about because its next to impossible to reproduce unless youw ant to sit there and turn your car on and off for 2 or 3 hours..

which doing that will create more issues

I've also had the back up camera not work on occasion. I would say it's a bug with the GPS/Camera OS. A quick reboot fixes the issue.
