It's only easy if you've got the right tools. You need an extremely long extension and the proper spark plug socket but it took me 5 minutes when I borrowed the tool I needed. All you need to do is take off the spark plug cover, remove the coils and then the spark plugs and replace. If I remember correctly I used a 10 or 12 mm socket the whole way until the spark plugs. I changed mine at almost 100000 km and they were burnt as hell so it's not a bad idea

The recommended interval is 105K miles, and depending on the kind of driving you do, they can easily last that long (they did in my 05 and 07 TSX's). You can change them anytime if would make feel better. You can probably find a DIY video on YouTube.

I haven't done it on CU2 but I have swapped plugs on other various cars. Inline engines are by far the easiest to do because its usually at the top- and pretty easy to get to with the right tools as MGCU2 said. I borrowed my brother's spark plug socket, his had a cool rubber insert which helped a ton.

Be careful debris or crap doesn't fall into your engine when the plugs are out & be sure you to torque them to the proper specs.

Also since no one else mentioned it, make sure your engine is completely cool (let it sit overnight preferably) and whatever you do, don't over tighten them!

I just changed mine at 103K as it came up on the maintenance minder. Now that I did it, I wish I would have done it sooner by the condition they were in. I decided to do it myself to save the money and am glad I did. Even after buying a torque wrench, dielectric grease, anti-seize compound, 4 NGK Iridium spark plugs and a gap tool (just for verification, not to re-gap), I still saved $100 over taking it to the dealer and now I have a pretty nice torque wrench to use for other things.

If you noticed how burnt they were did you also notice the power difference if any?

Today's ignition systems adjust or compensate for wear at consumable ignition parts. I'd imagine power gain would be minimal. Its an easy procedure that almost anyone can perform. Take the advice about working on a cool engine.

Plugs

I haven't changed my plugs on my tsx yet, but when I did my honda civic a few years ago, there was a slightly noticeable power change. Not super significant but new plugs can add some spunk from my experience.

I would...disagree...when I upgraded to iridium plugs on my old CL-S, the car did seem to have a bit more jump.

Not saying there's more HP...but, I did definitely feel something different. Fuel economy also seemed to be a bit better too.
