Spark plugs torque Spec

Hi there I have a question on torque settings for spark plugs, is it 13ftlbs according to service manual or 18 to 21ftlbs according to NGK?

one spec has anti-seize applied to it, the other spec doesnt have anti-seize applied. thus the difference in torque values.

FROM THE NGK WEBSITE; "ANTI-SEIZE acts as a lubricant and can alter torque values, of up to 20%!"

Thanks for the reply, I double checked the chart on the NGK website, and they actually stated a 12mm Thread Size should go with 10.8-14.5 ft/lbs with aluminum head. Do you recommend using anti-seize? Because their website saids not to use them because it's already coated?

Regards,
14.510.8~14.510.8~14.5

that's the whole disparity...
it doesnt have anti-seize and SHOULD FOLLOW their torquing spec..

NOW, if you applied anti-seize follow Acura's Torque spec.

I wouldn't apply anti seize to a coated plug. There's no need to take the added risk.

And I'd Just use the higher torque spec. Its not that far off.

Manual states 13.5

Plug states 10.8 to 14.5...the average of that is 12.7 lol.

Just torque it to 14.5.
