Rumors from my local Acura dealership say that the TSX is nearing the end of production. Is this true ? Why would Acura abandon such a great car with so much value to offer ? The 1LX just doesn't get it, IMO. The TL needs updated, the new RLX sucks, the ZDX is dead, the MDX is overpriced, la di dah !!!

The only thing that is holding Acura together is the RDX and the hope of a perfect TLX.

Maybe an awesome NSX ?

 

Acura is actually buying out Honda, so they are coming out with all new cars under the Acunda brand name

I have heard this as well, seems like Acura is going for the **X nomenclature across the entire model line (2016 NSX).

 

Nope all wrong there bringing back the intergra and killing all other acuras cause they are inferior.

Actually, the Acura buyout by Honda is accurate, but Honda will only be supplying engines to other car companies now because they realized that they don't know how to do anything awesome other than engines.

I heard slightly differently. It will be Honcura (pronounced Honk-ura) because there will be a new SH-SH-Horn that will be extra quiet.

 

Yeah, the trollers were out last night: "Acunda", "Hondura", and "Honcura".

But, ICrap .... the rumors will soon pan out !

 

More than one Hondura will be referred to as Honduras - increasing market share in South and Central America.

If i'm not mistaken the TSX & TL will make one more run before production ends and then the TLX should be release. I read somewhere that the 2014s should be rolling into dealer lots around september or so. Next summer/fall should we should get the TLX as a 2015 model.

 

Ok ok, I'll post a semi-useful answer. In the Sept 2013 issue of Road and Track, page 23:

"Honda has denied the rumors and says the 2014 TSX will go on sale late this summer and remain in Acura's lineup for the foreseeable future."

But that could just be the Honda corporate line. Only "Acunda", "Hondura", and "Honcura" knows for sure.

 

 

i heard we've had 4 other threads on this subject so i will continue to ignore OP and simply talk about the possible of there being a new company called Acurda or Hacuronda or Anaconda

You guys are crazy... its obvious that honda is going to be bought out by Mazda in 100 years when they sell much more vehicles... lol seriously though the new 6 and 3 are badass... i would trade for a fully loaded 6 but too bad my dads tsx is valued like 4k under what i owe cause of all the miles. I don't like honda/acura as much as i used to.

 

While this sounds dumb to most people on here, Infiniti is choosing to continue selling the G sedan next to the new Q50. So while it may be dumb, you never know what a car company is going to do.

I also read on the internet that the new TLX under the new Acunda brand will be called the AccordLX but with no 'space' so it won't be confused with the Accord LX. Those marketing guys are genius!
