Quick BT question ...

hey guys I got a quick question about BT ...

The other day I was trying to make a call from my car's BT to a missed call. Instead of initiating the call from the car's BT (and say "Dial xxx-xxx-xxxx") I just went into missed call list on my phone and dial that #.

Surprisingly, even with my phone connected to the BT system, the call was not routed to the car's BT, but went to my phone's earpiece. So I called the person to call me right back, and when he did, now it went to my car's BT.

So for the call to go through the car's BT system you have to initiate the call from the car's HandsfreeLink? You can't dial from your phone?

I know on my Honda CR-V even if you make a call from your phone as long as your phone's connected to the car's BT HFL it will go through your car's audio by default ...

thanks!

If you dial from your phone, you have to press the button on the HFL to talk and say "transfer" once you hear the phone ringing on the other end. At least this is what i do on my '09 non navi., can't say for other years.

My phone is a windows phone and it has a Bluetooth button right on the screen when in call, I can press Bluetooth for it to go through the car or for take it off and talk with the phone. Mine has no problem when I call from the phone, I don't like using the talk buttons for dialing.
