Its tradition.
Just don't forget that Toyota/Lexus made major price cuts for the Canadian market and the IS250 now starts at $31,600.

How basic is the non-"tech" base model? Does it have the same features as the non-navi 08 TSX such as dash "computer" or bluetooth? Garage door opener? USB? Or that analog iPod hookup? I get the idea that it does not even have a 6 disc CD changer. Really?
So what do you get for $500 more? the same or less?

An interesting fact you may not be aware of. Honda sells more cars per capita in Canada, than it does anywhere in the world.
So in essence. we're they're best market. And they're still screwing us.

Yeah, do you have an import tariff?

i think we do have import tariff so after that i think it comes out to about the same, and we have to make it canadian spec as well if i remember correctly
and of course considering the time when i shipped a 30 dollar thing from the us to canada i had to pay 50 dollars just for the shipping i'd have to drive the thing back myself lol

Import tariff's don't explain why other manf's have slashed prices.
But why would Honda slash em if they don't have to? If sales are good (and they were in March) then they have no reason to.

i am hoping to buy the 09 as soon as it comes out. i was going to get an 08 a few months ago but decided to hold out. though i may change my mind when i see it in person.. any one know what the invoice price will be on the 09? i read the MSRP listed on this site. i figured i would shoot for $2K under MSRP as a starting point.
