Price drop on 2010 when 2011 comes in?

Hi all, I'm new to the board. I'm looking to buy a 2010 TSX w/ tech and, of course, would love to get a good deal. I know the 2011 won't be in stock for a couple of weeks, but does anyone have an idea as to how much the prices on 2010 models will go down? I would imagine that car dealers would want to make room for the 2011 and try to get rid of the 2010, right?

I want to get to a dealer today and maybe start some negotiations. Any input or tips would be great!

I don't think the prices go down, but rather, the 011 prices go up, slightly. Also the older models or years of the car makes it easier to bargain with the dealer, because most dealers want to get out the 010 models for room for the 011 models.

Check for the latest factory incentives on the 2010s. If you are buying in the US, you should be able to negotiate close to invoice less the factory rebate. In Canada, you should be able to negotiate it to approx. 700 or 800$ above invoice (less rebates of course).

ya.. it depends on where you live..US or Canada.. I know Acura dealerships in Canada right now still have the $4500 cash incentive for 4-cyl models and $5000 cash incentive for V6 models. Additionally for the December month to clear out 2010 models, they are throwing in another $1000 as a holiday promo.

Starting last week (11/24/10), cash to dealer incentive increased to $1250 for non-tech models. Use to be $750.

For Tech models, the incentive increased to $1500 (use to be $1000). Based on info from Edmunds.
