Picking up my 2009 TSX w/ Tech Pkg. tomorrow evening
I decided to take the plunge! I'm picking up my 2009 Premium White Pearl TSX w/ Technology package tomorrow evening. I test drove the car this past weekend and was very impressed with it. I'll post some photos and do a brief write-up on my initial impressions in a few days.

09s are laser cut too or are they milled?

it's the same exact key as the TL.
both are laser cut.
both have to be purchased as blanks and milled for the 1st gen TSX.
nothing new about the '09 TSX key.

I just got home after taking delivery of a 2009 TSX w/ Tech Pkg. Although the drive home was short (4 miles), I loved the way the car drove. Of course I'll do a writeup on my initial impressions of the car sometime soon, as well as post some photos.
In answer to the question asked earlier, yes, I am a 1st gen TSX owner. I've been in the "Acura" family for quite some time now.
Have a good evening everyone...look forward to sharing my opinions, etc. here...

I boo booed on the magazine. it was the May edition of Road and Track...not MT. It was in the back of the magazine listing the vehicles they have tested with their specs. It is the same edition with the BMW 135 road test. There was an article on the 09 TSX as well, but gave no road test data.

It it April 1st?
There's no way the 2009 TSX AT is running a 6.5! They might publish 7.0 but it's more like 8.0 for everyday drivers in real traffic. MT is a different story, but even then a great driver would be lucky to deliver below 7 seconds.

Problem is. R&T never tested an 08 TSX. Last time they tested one was back in 04 against an Legacy GT. I doubt they would still have that time at the back of the mag and I doubt it got to 60 in 6.5. So who knows. Maybe Larry didn't boo boo after all.

I couldn't get the dealer to budge one penny below MSRP, so I paid $32,775.00, plus tax, lic, etc. Maybe if you wait a couple of months or so, they'll be willing to negotiate. I guess it all depends on how well the car sells.

the only way to get dealers down right now for the tsx is via interest rate or accessory add-ons at discounts/free. i was actually able to squeeze $200 off the price at one dealership, but that's negligible, and i didn't end up buying it from that dealership anyway.
and one suggestion.. and this is big.. you MUST get an offer from one dealership, and take it to a different dealership and have them beat it. if you're feeling ambitious, take the second dealership's better offer, and take it back to the first dealership and have them beat it again. tossing in more dealerships will afford more opportunities for better offers. this is how i got half off a deck lip spoiler and a fairly low interest rate (4.35%.. they originally offered 6.5%)
