Paid Off!

Made my last payment of $718 today for my 2010 TSX!!! With only 38k miles on it I'm hoping for at least 5+ years of no car payments.. Sorry if it's a lame post I was excited... I assume the bank will contact me with my title?

Extra $400 a month will be nice!

Congrats!

I got my car with a 60 months term but i'm more than half way done with just 6 months into it. hoping to pay it off in the next few months.

I'm going to pay this off then buy a toy car (turbo brz/s2000?)

No but it makes it go smoother if you file a claim, especially if God forbid your car is totaled.

they will want a copy of the title without the lein holder. they dont just take your word for it. it will remove them as owner.

btw....good job on the payoff. I owe about 9K UGH

So you either paid cash or someone somewhere made a big mistake.

It won't really matter as the OP will have the title shortly.

they are notified by the lein holder. so technically YES,

i guess what I was saying was that they arent going to take a verbal from you the owner......it requires some type of notice elec paper etc.

Any plans for the TSX or purchase of another vehicle? You will be amazed how handy it is to have an extra car in the family. I kept my 06 TSX when I paid it off for my son when he turned 16 last year. I kinda wanted it back and give him the RDX for college in 2016. He loves the TSX so much, he wants to keep it during college. You are going to regret it if you get the itch and sell her in too soon.

I need a new set of tires That's my only upgrade I have planned. I'm single with no kids, so no need for another car. I've done the 2 car deal in the past and it was a hassle.

Congrats on being payment free!

If you have moved since you purchased your car, make sure the DMV where the car was originally registered has your correct address. Acura will contact your DMV and they will send you your title to your car. I made the mistake of not letting the CA DMV know I moved to TX. They sent my title to my old CA address and not my current TX address. I had to file lots of paper work to have them send me a duplicate title to the correct address. 3 months after my last payment I finally got my title.

Congrats! I paid mine off in 4 years, which was 2 years ago. My monthly payments were pretty high (about $500) so I definitely felt the additional "income"

I paid off my 2012 TSX about a week ago. Had until October of 2017 to pay it off. The monthly payments were $514. I bought it brand new, 0 miles, now it's up to 45,500 miles.

Yes and it's crazy to think school loans are the only ones you cannot get discharged if you file for bankruptcy. Mortgages, Credit Cards, Car loans can all be discharged. School loans are yours for life.............

Then technically you really don't need to be making payments. It would be interesting to read your financing contract. You have the title free and clear...........

Oh hell yeah! Thats an awesome feeling. I was so happy when I paid off the loan my mom took for for my first car.

Can't wait to pay off the ILX but before that I still have to refinance. :/
