Paddle Shifter on Automatic and in freeway :(
Paddle Shifter on Automatic and in freeway :(
Hey all
I was rolling on the freeway in automatic mode, doing about 60-70 MPH probably, and accidentally I hit the paddle shifter on the left (shifted down to 3rd - assuming it was in 4th gear or something). This happened twice in a row.
the car is practically brand new- had it for 3 weeks with about 380 miles on it.
now, i feel like its driving or pulling itself a little heavier than it used to, and now as smooth as before.
I wanted to know if that could have messed things up as the engine was not broken in yet, or am i just imagining, because of how I feel and what I know.
anyone else? any input or thoughts on this?
Thanks

You are fine. No damage. The auto tranny has an electronic brain to protect your engine and transmission. It's all in your head!
I would wait till 1000 miles before making any judgement on your powertrain's performance.

acura has taken these kinds of things into consideration. and yeah the computer will take care of it if it senses youre about to mess up the tranny or engine. so dont worry nothing is wrong with your car.
