Overhead Switch

On the overhead console there are switches for the homelink garage door opener, the moonroof and another switch to the right of that which is marked 'off' in forward position and 'door' in back position'. I can't find anything in the manual that explains what this button is for.

Everything I read in the manual points to the overhead console and explains the moonroof and homelink. Can anyone explain to me what the other button is for?

The front overhead map light function on/off/door just like the one in the rear of the headliner functions for the overhead lights for the rear passengers.

Thanks. That would explain why I only see the lights in the back seat after I shut off the engine.

I've had a few crazy drunk women sit there & I've kinda wished it was an ejector seat switch.

I still need to fix my homelink button...it rattles a bit when going over bumps.

In the off position it disables the lighting when you open your doors. Good feature to have in the summer if you are unloading your car at night and don't want a bunch of bugs heading for the interior lights.
