Don't really like it. I love lexus but hate this.
Its nice if it was a new TSX. But for a high end car, it looks like as I mentioned a 30k car.
It's a shame. But a decent looking car nonethless, just underwhelming for its price point.

it looks like a bit like the Hyundai Equus combined with A8...it's not bad change the rims..
I can see the CEO's or managers in my company rolling up in this... Classy/VIP boss
The car isn't for me but I like the direction Acura is going can't wait for the TLX!!!

It looks ok, but won't turn heads. IMO Acura needs to make bolder styling moves if it wants to legitimately compete with cars in this segment. Stacking two rows of lights isn't going to cut it. I do like the back of the car- reminiscent of the new BMW 5 series.

Wow what a beautiful car. Those tires are WIDE for a current Acura. It's nice to see something so fresh from the company. I still see gens from old Acura (3rd Gen TL especially). Thank you very much for sharing.

I think it looks boring, especially for a brand new car. Acura really needs to step up their game, I remember when the 3G TL came out it was so popular because of how great it looked.
The all wheel steering is pretty interesting though it has been done before in the past by Honda if you guys remember the all wheel steer preludes of the early 90s. IDK why it was discontinued in the first place. Apparently the regenative braking works with SH-AWD to boost fuel economy and its basically a front wheel drive car with an electric motor powering the rear wheels.
The good thing is that Acura/Honda is finally putting in a new gearbox. I think this is the most exciting thing of all as its supposed to be a 7 speed double clutch box (finally!).

Hope they do a better job with the new transmissions. Pretty much everyone I know who has or has had an auto Honda has had to have their transmission replaced. Not a good record.
Oh and I liked the part where they showed the guy with the old Integra parked by Central Park. Nice throwback.

Granted the wheels are hideous but I'm confident they won't be on production models. What I find awesome about the new RLX is that it is touted to have at least 370 hp and 30mpg city and highway. There's got to be some hybrid help in there somewhere but there is no car out there right now, (that I'm aware of), that can boast that much horsepower combined with 30 mpg city and highway. Acura is saying that it will have V8 performance with "better than 4 cylinder economy". It looks a bit conservative to me, almost Avalon-like, but it's hard to argue with those performance and mpg numbers. Just hope they don't price it too high. Rumored to be in the low $60k price range.

The benefits of double clutch gearboxes are much faster shift times, faster than that of a professional driver in a manual transmission car. They also have big fuel economy savings as theres no torque converters. The only downside is that they are more complex and if it goes wrong, probably much more expensive to repair.

Ive seen a few accords eat through trannies in the past. Usually when they have well over 150K on the odometer.

You see me, I CU2
I want 3:10 of my life back, that video was just brutal to sit through and watch, who produced that shit?!
1) Front looks like a Camry/Taurus
2) Headlights stolen from the Lexus LS460 HL with the multiple projectors
3) sideview so slabsided...reminded me of a 300c
4) the c pillar kink....infiniti m45 much?
5) rear tails.....bmw 5/7 series
6) Whoa interior buttons bro slow down, less is more?
7) Rims are actually passable...if Acura is going for the whole advanced look...the turbine style is ok
8) The light up gimmick is cute...but really in a luxury car you want substance not style
9) Proly the best part of this car cant be seen and thats the SH-AWD Hybrid system and thats a shame

why must cars be ruined by succumbing to the LED trend?

Advanced
I believe Audi was the first to do it with the A4 and it is absolutely stunning to me the LEDs are crisp and don't blur and then the others copy. Just my opinion
I forgot, BMW halos on the 3 seem original like Audis as well.

I think it's here to stay. However Lexus, Porsche, and MB implementations don't look that great especially Lexus big LEDs in the lights.

The RLX concept and some info is now up on Acura's site:

It's decent. Definitely going to be expensive, though.
