New Ride Help

Hey Guys,

I'm new to this forum, but I've been trolling for a while looking through the TL and TSX build threads. I love what a lot of you guys and ladies (if any) have done with your rides.

Now the question. I've been a expat for 2 years and finally moving back to the states. Now I need a new ride. Choices are now down to 2 rides.

If you had the choice which one would you guys go with? Both can probably get a decent deal now since the 2014's are coming out. It will be my DD and I will do some slight mod's to the car.

2013 V6 Acura TSX or 2013 IS350

I've owned an 03' IS300 before so I'm familiar with Lexus.

Past Rides
91' Integra
03' IS300
06' Mazdaspeed 6
07' 335i

i know we have a thread comparing the base TSX to the is250, if the change to each is just the bigger engine and price, im sure you can base it off thaat thread

That all depends what your looking for, what you need, etc. I was in the same boat before my wife and I bought our TSX V6 a few weeks ago. The IS350 is a fast car but the TSX goes pretty quick. Do you need a 4-5 passenger car and cargo space/ folding rear seats. If so the IS will not work as it has terrible rear leg room. I test drove an IS250 AWD first of all it was awful slow compared to a TSX I4, and when i sat in the back to see how bad it was i literally had to sit sideways, and im only 6'1". The TSX feels roomier as a driver too, the IS felt a tad small. The IS does have heated and cooled seats vs TSX heated seats only. The IS has electric tilt and telescope steering wheel TSX doesnt. As far as mods go I believe the lexus has more performance/engine mods available compared to the TSX. Overall I dont think you can go wrong with either, both nice cars all depends what you need. Test drive both and see.

I agree, if all out power is not a requirement, it looks good and aggressive, and handles well i hear.

Thanks guys for all your comments. Only way to figure this out now is head back to the states and test drive the TSX V6.

Unless I find a IS-F at a good price.
