Hey everyone, I just picked up my new 2010 TSX yesterday and I have a few questions. ( I leased the car for 3 years)
1) Should I get something to help protect and clean the leather and if so when should I start using it?
2) I read in other parts of the forums that the black pearl, which I have, the paint job starts to fade and get chipped very easily when driving on the highway a lot. I travel 40 miles a day on the highway. Is this a real issue that happens to everyone and what can I do to stop it from happening?
3) Can someone try to explain to me how to use the paddle shifters in both D and S mode?
Thanks in advanced.

its a lease so dont worry about the leather and paint. just use leather cleaner from time to time and purchase some acura touch up paint for the little chips and nicks.
as for the paddles, you can use them in D but its better to use them in S for full control. you can shift in-between S and D while driving. the paddles allow you to hold a gear until the 7300rpm cutoff.

Yes, but I don't see the need for the paddle shifters in an automatic car. I understand using it in drive in the snow, such as going to like d2,d3 like in any other automatic car. but what does the S mode do?

i don't think it's a gimmick. although it's nothing like a real manual transmission, it at least gives you some control of the transmission w/o the complication of using a clutch. that's all it is. more control over your car instead of letting a computer decide what gear you should be driving in.
if you don't care to control that aspect of driving, then don't worry about it. but i know plenty of people who want it, but for some reason or another, cannot get the car in a proper manual transmission.
