New Owner

I just picked up a Basque Red/ Parchment with Tech 6-speed yesterday.

Man I love this car. I currently own a 00 S2k and the driving dynamics feels like a 4 door version of the S2K. I don't understand many of the professional reviews.

I will make a report after further seat time.

That makes two of us. It makes me think perhaps they drove the wrong car or pre-production models or something. But Car & Driver loved it, and I consider them to be one of the bibles of auto reviews.

Congrats! In Aug. my wife will move from her AP2 (she had an AP1 before) to a Tech 6-speed. As an s2k owner, you are used to the feel of he EPS and the fast ratio, I'm thinking this plays a part in how easily you adapt to this car.

I had an 06 and would NOT EVER go back to the first gen...it was good for its time but this is a BETTER drive.....

Congrats on your new TSX. I've had my PWP/Parchment TSX Tech for just over 2 months now and I'm liking it more and more each week - what a great car Acura built.

Congrats!
I also have a Basque Red/Parchment Tech (but 5AT) and I also love, love, love it.
Did you get any of the appearance options? I got the lip spoiler (the small one), side molding & mud flaps. I can't believe I've had it 5 weeks now and haven't posted pictures yet.

Thanks everyone.

No I didn't get any apperance options. It was a car that just came off of a ship and I happened to be in the dealer at the time. And you know how it goes...buy it today and get a great deal. Not sure about the deal but couldn't pass on the 6 speed because they are hard to find. The car had 2 miles on it when I picked it up.

My wife --who is not a car person but learning -- drove the car when I brought it home. Her two comments to me were she couldn't believe the car was a 4 banger and the transmission felt like it was encased in butter and honey.

Two additional things I like about the car. The dashboard and interior lights are really cool and I love the fact that I can cruise right at the threshold of the powerband -- around 3k rpms -- in a variety of gears. The 485 mile range for the first tank of gas is a tremendous bonus as well.

The car is already dirty from driving through a construction zone. Will post pics once I've washed it.

hmm, i have an '07 S2000 and i didn't like driving the TSX that much. the steering was too boosted and the car itself feels twice as large in every dimension. not necessarily a bad thing in some respects, but in terms of actual driving experience, i wouldn't trade my S2000 in for a TSX or even mistake it for one.

Congrats! That basque red is real nice!

I don't understand the reviews either. Seems the first guy to review it bagged the shit out of it, and because everyone 'cut and paste', all the others are bad. Seems you are not a critique unless you bag the living shit out of it.

You can tell if they haven't driven the car.

My CU2 craps all over my old CL9.

Maybe i didn't make myself clear. I was referring to the driving dynamics. For a 4 door sedan, the driving experience (the 6 speed, the ability to rev, etc.) felt most like the S2k out of all the other cars I tried.

I would never mistake the TSX for an S2k, especially the 00 version. I did not trade the S2k in. It will be my weekend ..possibly a track car.
