odus as soon as i am done with midterms this week I will do my best to meet your every desire! I mean to the ear that knows engines...its obviously not a v6....but it is very deep and throaty and has a mean growl to it with NO RASP at the top end...none

i used to hate the VQ exhaust noise until i owned one and that noise grows to a love i went from hey that sounds like a ups truck to oh damn i hear a VQ mmmmmmm

 

VQ's sound sexy....
Now if someone can make an exhaust that makes the J series sound like an RB..... LOL

 

Would this work with a goal of more perf but not much noise or drone at all.

Nah dude. You might not pass emissions and the inspector might not believe your exhaust came like that from the dealership if you install this. You should just pass on a new exhaust.

 

I would like an exhaust setup with 3" then split to dual 2.5" to the back mufflers. something low key... magnaflow or the like. Painted black maybe....

 

3" is over kill on this car unless your boosted you would loose performance

 

I'm pending boosting the car, waiting to talk to the local shop to see about a custom turbo or the CT S/C with an aftercooler setup...

 

I guess you know what that exhaust sound equals performance wise.
