Needs a turbo
lol from the start you guys should know the tsx is no rocket...great DD? yes. can you smoke any cars? sure, base civics, pruis, versa, etc. any class in in its class? meh, probably not.
but im sure we all didn't buy the car for its sportiness.

me gusta!!
On top of what everyone has already said I would like to add a few points/ rhetorical questions.
Can anyone name a faster inline four not boosted/re-flashed?
Do we not have the smoothest easiest transitioning clutch out there?
For a base model 4 banger, the Acura TSX 6mt is one of the sportiest/luxury cars out there in my opinion.

^^ do you remember the video games where you could choose M/T? All you had to do was push in the clutch and release to shift, that's the best way to describe it. It is definitely like butter!
Hi Mr. Marco,
I remember your name tag when I had my RDX and visited the RDX forum section. How are you?
I traded my RDX in for a TSX SE 6spd.
I do not miss my Turbo Lagged RDX (especially during the summer months with the AC on), the hard ride, stiff seats, and crappy gas mileage! Every time I drove the RDX I dipped into boost and the mileage went down. I did like the SHAWD in the Winter as the TSX sucks with all season tires.
I for one am glad they do not put a turbo on the TSX. So far I love my TSX, it
is much more refined than the 2008 RDX I had. And I am not bashing the RDX it was sporty feeling for an SUV but no rocket for sure.
The TSX is no rocket either, in fact I think the TSX 6 spd is comparable acceleration wise to the RDX. The auto TSX is slower feeling as I did test drive one.
And I have a little experience with fast cars, I have a Vette, have driven newer ZO6 Vettes. I used to drag race my old camaro for fun, until it got too expensive to race for me. And I have driven several muscle cars down the quarter mile when I was younger!! (As a side note that new ZO6 Vette had to be the fastest street car I ever drove, real impressive but off the topic).
I think that if they put more power into the FWD 6-spd chassis the TSX would
wheel hop and have severe torque steer on hard acceleration.
As it is my TSX has bad wheel hop on an aggressive launch.

Autos make such a difference - the 6MT TSX feels quicker than the auto V6 Accord, and even against the clock it's not much behind. If performance is so important then at least get a RWD car. FWD over a certain hp/torque just gives you more wheel spin/torque steer and/or traction control intervention - none of which (IMHO) is very enjoyable. The MT TSXs main attraction is surely nice balanced handling, great turn-in for an FWD car, an enjoyable noise, and above all, a sublime gearchange. EPS apart it's a near perfect daily driver.
I want a reliable, plush, luxurious, good looking, classy 4 door sedan, that will fit 2 kids, my wife, and get 30+ mpg. Enter TSX.p.s. the paddle shifters on this car rocks.
The EPS needs major improvement for more feedback, but it's far from the worst out there.
electric steering. it is considered kinda dull with a deadspot and doesn't allow proper feel of the road according to some. remember that you have to change the batteries for the steering every other oil change(dealer does it for you free)
Absolutely wrong. The battery change is part of the BYO service which also includes the required blinker fluid and muffler bearing change. Most dealers charge dearly for that service and don't even use the required Duracell batteries thereby voiding your warranty.
Wow, 2 pages on this ridiculous thread that started with a rant/ramble from me (which was more about the lack a sizzle in my relationship than the lack of hp in the TSX) about Acura's shortcomings and poor marketing strategies?
"Live like a windrammer as you fuck."

well as someone that just came from a 350z to a genesis turbo to this i can tell you this car is plenty quick enough for the weight and size. I do miss boost slightly the smaller turbos that come stock are not anything to brag home about i prefer all motor or a huge as turbo and that huge turbo will get me shitty MPG unless its German cause they figured out how to have both. I enjoy that i can cross traffic with the tsx and when i step on the gas i have instant power and not waiting on boost miss the 350z for that. and the tsx is so much more enjoyable to drive than my wife accord lxp
