Need Driver 2 key
Need Driver 2 key
Hey guys, I am in need for a driver 2 key and i called acura to see what the prices are, and they said 231$ for key and 115$ for programming it. (which is really expensive in my opinion)
I was thinking about buying a OEM key online and having them program it, Acura said they can program it but it might not work.
Also Gladd security said they can get the key and program it for 233$ but if the car battery dies or taken out, I would loose the program.
So what do you guys think is the best way to go about this, and has anyone bought a key from online and taken it to acura to get it programmed sucessfully. if so what was the website you bought the key from.

I got lucky and found a brand new one on ebay for $60 - took it to my local Acura dealer and they charged $100 to program it (they thought I had purchased it in their parts dept)
No reason why an online key couldn't be programmed.
this guy has 100% positive feedback on 2400 auctions.....specify #1 or #2

Another possible option is to find an independent key dealer. I found this guy local to me on CL. I had a second key made for my daughter's 09 Honda Accord. He made a sidewinder key even though the one key we had wasn't. Looks like his prices have actually dropped since I saw him.
Again this is only an option if you can find someone local to you.

Just get a key off ebay and take it to Acura. If the key won't work, make sure the person on ebay has a return policy of at least 7-30 days so you aren't screwed.
