Navi Disc Database/Software Version?
Hey all,
I suspect that someone pulled a switch-a-rooney on my navi disc when I took delivery of my 09 TSX.
My Zagat info reads: 2007
My software version 4.63
My database version 1.74.00
I haven't looked at the disc to see what color it is, but I heard that is how they're identified also?
Is this the most recent disc?
I did a search and scrolled back manually but may have missed something.
TIA

Bump - new info
Hey all, FYI.
On the advice of Acura Customer Care, I called Alpine (888)291-4675 Option 2 with respect to all this.
I was told by the representative that Software Version 4.64 is the most recent, should have been installed on my 2009 vehicle and she didn't even have 4.63 on her screen as it had been superceded "months ago."
To check your software version from the main screen press;
1) "Setup"
2) Toggle knob right for "Other"
3) Scroll down for "System Information"
I first noticed the information was outdated when looking at streets and buildings that have been in existence for a long time now that weren't there.
Also, the Zagat info on my disc was for 2007.

OhFucryingOutLoud, now I don't know who to believe, lol.
I called my dealer and they said you *could not* use an older disc on the system if a newer one had previously been installed. To which I explained if nothing had been installed, then the system wouldn't know and wouldn't care which one was being used.
So...I called Alpine again and they confirmed that although they couldn't validate what streets & POI's were different on 4.63 to 4.64 that they *thought* the only difference was that the 4.64 could be used on older systems (no hardware, version or build dates given).
So now it appears Honda has/had both discs and were using up the old ones (builds through mid-September) then would begin installing the new ones on 09's and have the 4.64 available for whomever had an earlier build date so that they could upgrade.

So if there's no difference, then it doesn't matter. If there *are* updated POI's and street info on the 4.64, then I'll be torqued.

My DVD (white) is v4.63 but software is 4.64. Not sure why/how that's so. That's how the dealer delivered to me.

I haven't looked at the disc because I figured the system would know better than what the disc read. In your case that correlates to my thoughts.
