Might be bye-bye time. :(

This coming November marks the end of my 4 year lease with my first real gf. I got a call from my car broker yesterday and he said I might be eligible to trade my car in early... like this month or next month. Depends on condition of my car, what car I want next, my buyout price etc.

So Im going to meet him later this afternoon so I can have my car assessed. Im excited at the idea of unexpectedly getting a new car, but also sad at the thought of moving on. I also may not have the chance to put on the new wheels I just bought too for my baby

Anyways, I just wanted to share whats going on because I am so anxious about what might happen. Acura also offered me another TSX in 6spd manual at a 0.25% interest rate!!! which is fuckin less than half of a percent and super amazing!! so we shall see.

Now, in case I do decide to return my car, I must return it to Stock condition ASAP! So people, please tentatively buy my parts lol! I think ED called dibs like last year on my grille, but he has heel toe one now so i donno. I currently need a stock TSX grille so a straight trade, maybe some cash on top would be perfect! lol. my mods can be seen in my build thread..but prolly the only things I can ship are like, grille, intake, decklid spoiler, front and rear camber kit, coilovers, H emblem, lip kit maybe? not really much.

Buy your car back or buy a TSX wagon while you can find one.

Yeah why not hang onto your ride? It seems like a crazy amount of work to go back to stock and its already so tastefully modded

Your right. Economically it does make sense and it is a lot of work to part out. However, its not entirely my decision to make as I dont have the money to be buying anything out at this point. If I wanted to buy out, my only choice would be to convince my dad to buy it out for me, which I dont really want to do.

I may however, re-lease a new TSX at that 0.25% interest rate as these payments are more do-able on my own. And, I can swap over all my mods.

Seems like a no brainer TK.. Go for the newer car unless you can get a similar financing deal to buy out your current car. The residuals on your current car has to be pretty low right?

If you end up parting out, I'd definitely be interested in the coils.

If a buy the car out now itll be 22000. If I buy it out at the end of my lease in Nov. It will be 18000. Keep in mind this is canadian pricing. And yes I would love to have a newer car

Cool! At this rate, parting out my car wont be as hard as I thought haha. But we'll see once Im actually working on my car, finding seized bolts, cant find the right ratchet sizes, random trips to home depot, broken clips, blah blah

I have the Takeda SRI/CAI. Id probably sell between $100-$150?? I dont really know ..I have to do some research to see what they go for now.

If I get a new TSX I will definitely transfer over the parts that fit!

Ideally I want my next car to be AWD + Manual + Sedan. Lexus AWD doesnt offer manual, infiniti only has the G25, BMW only has the Coupe in X-drive, Audi has the A4. But when I look at how much all those cars cost..the STI DOES seem like the best value..or the Legacy GT. BRZ would be sick but RWD isnt the best option here in Vancouver.

But I would not complain if I got another tsx!!

If your funds are tight, try extend the lease for 6 more months. I did it with my TSX. It's was on a 3 year lease, they extended it for 6 months same term as original lease. Pushing it 6 months out can give you a chance to look at the ILX which should hit the Canadian Acura showroom sometime in April/May. STi would be a sick car but I am way over 40 to drive that car on a daily basis.

I ended up buying out the car as there is no 6MT Tech model in 2012, I don't want to drop to Premium or worst Base to get the 6MT.

eww ed...why would you even suggest the 4g TL to him. if he gets it, i will never talk to him again. and i won't talk to you for suggesting it to him. we'll communicate via your mom.

yea pricing is lots higher on any of those other cars. did you try pricing a new tsx from your dealer? compare prices of the end of lease and buy out vs new tsx pricing + 0.25% (wtf) interest rate.

i'd go with subie out of those choices also...hahah but i'm calling dibs on your intake depending on price

pyro, you're gonna paintmatch the decklid if you get it?

ya its simple to transfer your mods to a 12' model. if you want your front lip, you need to dremel around the foglight area to make it fit. also say bye bye to your grill unless you completely swap your 09 bumper completely.

Montreal, Quebec – Acura has unveiled two new vehicles at the Montreal International Auto Show: a prototype of the all-new 2013 RDX crossover SUV, and the new 2012 Acura TSX A-Spec.

The new model debuts coincide with Acura’s 25th anniversary in Canada. “Over the next three years, the Acura brand will launch a series of new models that will remake our product lineup and shake up the luxury market,” said Alexandre Roger, assistant vice-president of Acura in Canada.

The 2013 RDX will be the second generation of Acura’s five-passenger crossover SUV and will advance performance and fuel efficiency through a new engine, transmission and all-wheel drive system. Scheduled to launch this spring, it will use a 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 273 horsepower with a six-speed automatic transmission and new lock-up torque converter.

The new 2012 Acura TSX A-Spec is the first in a line of appearance trims that will build on Acura’s design direction, including luxurious suede seating seating surfaces, red accent stitching, red interior lighting, unique wheels with high-performance summer tires, and an aero package.

Wow, sounds pretty exciting! Just so you know, you can sell the dealer your car with all the mods on it, depending on what price they give you, of course. It's a lot easier than taking everything off.

I was in a similar situation before I got the '11. Let me just say, don't let your existing mods limit your choices.

Good luck with your decision!

Omg i did not know about the a-spec model!! but that really does influence my decision quite a bit. I am big on interior and the new gauges, seats, pedals make quite a difference compared to my 09 premium.

Just noticed that you guys also get a little break in price for the MT. Why do they hate America?

Before you get too excited, they always charge more for 5AT model than 6MT model in Canada, consider yourself lucky not having to pay a premium on that.

Also, with USD and CAD basically at par, Acura Canada is charging $36,195 (6MT) $37,490 (5AT), whereas Acura US is charging $30,810 for either (6MT) or (5AT), we are talking about $5K to $6K more than the US.
