Maybe hope for the new 2G TSX yet! (RJ Aero-kit Concept)

Just a design excercise, after seeing the new TSX in person at the NY Autoshow, I was inspired to do something. Pretty big potential for this to come out when the vehicle becomes available. In polyurethane with a new grille and OEM fogs relocated. Rear shot coming soon:

the new acura grilles are so horrible you could make a ton just doing cool grilles for the tsx, tl, and rl. they are seriously fugly.

concept looks awesome!

I don't mind the new TSX grille but that kit looks good. There might be a lot of mod potential and demand for the upcoming generation.

Grille looks awesome and a nice option to replace the OEM one if I had the 09 TSX. The bumper is a bit "edgy" but would look awesome if you smooth out the edges. Find a balance between this and the current RJ TL bumper.

Looks great Rondog, but I still think the grille can be improved. Perhaps remove the bottom opening on the grille, and enlargen the top opening just a tad bit...

Major improvement over stock.
A stock '09 is simply out of the question.

And yeah, why didn't you make a kit for the first gen TSX?

front bumper and grill is way over done compared to the rest of the car IMO. Do not want.

That car looks better than stock. But if somebody can make the car look more like this, then we have a winner.

Definitely an option.....depending on price, of course. Front bumper is a little too overdone, but overall looks pretty good.

with the hypothetical RJ kit, the front reminds me of the new US accord.

agreed with the transformers feel. lots of hard angles and stuff give off that vibe.

i thought that the modulo bumpers (if that's what they were) from the geneva show looked alright on the euro accord.

Well, I am from the transformers generation and all.

Anyway, I like to evolve the design over time, here's another one a little more conservative:

Keep working man.

Kit aside, I think if you come up with a new grille that matches whatever kit you make, and looks like a more "traditional" grille, you'll sell oodles.

Lots of people like the cars but HATE the new front ends, especially the cheese slicer grilles.

Overall, I like the idea!

Now if you would only do something about those hideous fender flares...

I like the second one more than the first but I kinda agree with the transformers comment too.

second one looks hot. if the 09 came OEM like that, or close to that, i would probably have waited for the 09... even if you don't do the kit, the grille would definitely sell since that seems to one of the main complaints of the 2nd gen design... have factory paint color matched grille like that and you'd make some dinero dude

Ok, we're getting alot closer now...

The sideskirts on this car really don't need much, just to be lowered, the front needs to be simple with the signature RJ design and some hard edges, rear will be simple as well, extension with a difuser. The front grille will be replaced by a single piece bumper and an upper trim piece made from a modified OEM grille from Acura. Notice how the bottom of the upper grille is part of the bumper.

I actually like the first one the best, although I think it would be better if the grill was a bit more open, like the Mugen grill on the 1st gen.

^^ Yes!! It's that stupid huge grille that is fugging things up. This one opens things up and looks normal again.

It's too bad the people buying the new TSX aren't going to care to buy a body kit.

Most people over 40 could care less about body kits and grilles.
And that's obviously who this car's going to be marketed to.

1st one is the best because the 3 cuts line up and the grill is perfect size.
