LS460 Tips on 2012 SE TSX

Hey all,

I saw defconskydude's TSX with the LS exhaust tips and I like how they look on his car. Should I get LS exhaust tips for my SE TSX? I know I have to cut a part of the rear bumper for the tips to fit. I just need some opinions and feedback before I start modifying my car.

I vote yes. If you are willing to put in the time and effort into it with all the cutting, go for it. Everything on the forums gets copied after long enough. Its what mods you choose to combine that makes your car unique.

For a super bonus, you can choose another cars unique tips and make those fit instead.

be your own person! get new tips!

do what you want. if you can handle the cutting and remolding of your rear bumper, more power to you. i'd be scared shitless to potentially fuck up my brand new SE.

love the color btw.

put IS-F tips on your car.

heheh i do like the way the tips look on defcons car but its not worth it to me.
i think the tips alone are like $200 or so and then you gotta cut, sand, glue..etc

i think that looks great!!

i doubt youd be able to fit a properly sized quad (IS-F, TL-s) tip without cutting in to the bumper though.

from what i remember the LS460 tips were under $150.

first i had to use a dremel to cut up my type s replica lip. i did cut off little at a time until it fits.

then i paid a exhaust shop to weld them on for $120 (2 hours of work) which includes cutting off the original exhaust tips and creating welding brackets

they also had to cut off pieces of the LS460 tips to make room for it to go in.

total of about 4-5 hours

id say do it if you really want to be different.

mcfagboy makes the quads look good.
i think there was a chop of quads on a tsx before but the quads seemed tiny and didn't look that great. does the SE bumper have more room for bigger dual mufflers on each side? or maybe it's just simon's chop skills?
