Hey all. I installed 9005/HB3 LED bulbs for my DRL/high beams on ’13. They flicker for the DRL but work fine for the high beam. The manufacturer told me I will need a canbus decoder to address the flickering issue. Anyone who is using canbus decoders in their car comment on where you put them inside the engine compartment? Doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of room to place these and I don’t want to leave them dangling. Pictures of your set up would be helpful too!

i have aftermarket LED bulbs as DRL in my 12 Wagon, i bought those wire harnesses from LASFIT and using them. so far no issue and work fine

Thanks for the reply! i'll look into these. do you mind sharing where you are mounting or locating the canbus module/adapter? Pictures of where they are located for driver's and passenger side would be helpful. trying to figure out where i would put it if I need to use it. are you also using LasFIT LED bulbs?

can i ask what LED bulbs you are using? i was using the lasfit led bulbs with the canbus decoders from lasfit(same one in your link) as well and i still get the flickering issue. when i initially turn the car on, no issue. but once i start driving, it starts flickering.

Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 LED Bulb is what you should have got to start with. Plug N play no add on to make the DRL works. They are the only LED bulbs for cars that uses the Hi beam as DRL. It is what I use.
